lol I'm glad you brought this up. I've been waiting for a cameraman on the apron to be taken out. Cameramen should not be standing on the apron especially during fights.
Why does he need to do anything different? He quite clearly won the first fight and only had it taken away due to corrupt officials. He dosent need to make adjustments.
But did he get the decision last time? Personally I thought it was a close fight but even if that wasn't the case is he isn't going to get a decision unless it's decisive. Plus what kind of mentality is that to have. Elite athletes are always striving to do better, doesn't matter if he won last time or not, you think Canelo is just going to do the same and accept another draw. You can bet Canelo will try something different, even if it doesn't work he'll try it because elite athletes strive to be better than normal people, it's what separates them from everyone else. Having the mindframe of doing what I did last time because it was enough is a losers mentality not what I would expect from either GGG or Canelo.
Golovkin as we know is fully capable of delivering (that is attempting, which by the law of averages will mean connecting on more even if not as high a percentage as we're used to from him) more body punches than he did, at the range at which they mostly fought - unless Canelo ironically/hypocritically does his best Lara impersonation to suspend that availability, which means that judges, as we know, will be apt to score for the guy not "running".
It always bugs me when a fighters foot catches a strap or one of those triangle shaped ads they place around the ring.
We don't know he can, because we did not see it happen. What we do know is that Canelo was much better at punching Lara to the body who is much more defensive than Canelo, than GGG was able to on Canelo (who has lead feet, according to many of his critics and GGG fanatics). There is a reason why GGG was very hesitant to throw body punches in his biggest toughest fight to date.
Against past foes, I'm saying, Golovkin has proved adept, while Canelo isn't some magician immune to body punching.
It doesn't matter much what he did against the Martin Murray's or the Daniel Geales of boxing, it matters what he can do against Canelo. Canelo isn't immune to body punches, getting KD, or getting KO. I just see Golovkin having the skill to be the one to do it, but even then, in boxing anything can happen.
Not spend more time on the ropes than absolutely necessary, but other than that I felt he fought a really good fight. I'd also advise avoiding the periods of inactivity but by and large he doesn't need to change anything. He could have won that fight had he been a bit more active.
