What exactly does Leonard Ellerbe do? Mayweather always says that "Al Hayman and Leonard Ellerbe are my advisors" so what exactly does he advise him on? Mayweather always says "I'm my own boss" and "I love doing business with Golden Boy promotions" Oscar manages the fights, Roger trains him? So what does Leonard do? Also, can someone please tell me what Leonard says to Mayweather on his entrances to the ring? Because mayweather doesn't seem to give a s**t and just carries on as if he isn't there. Leonard is always ion the corner not doing jack all IMO he is a useless piece of s**t Thoughts?
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=86176 But seriously, i think his main job is to hold Mayweather's feet for his sit ups and massage his chest in between rounds. Not to mention a late night freaky dik when Floyd wants one.
don't forget Michael Konz, alot of boxers have advisers for what I don't know, anyone got real info? they seem like they negotiate or got a good reach in boxing politics
Just to give you an idea of what he does. It's reallty not that much of a mystery to you man. A lot cats in 7,8 & 9 figures have advisors that often open a number of deals from fights to ancillary market opportunities. Meaning byproduct cashflow. Such as 20 Million dollar wrestling bouts or exhibitions in Singapore that pay 3.5 Million. Ellerbe can often be the opener of a deal and than Mr. Heymon comes along and wraps it up! Also Leonard has been around the fight game since his teens. He also has many many connections on the R&B music scene from major labels like Interscope, LaFace & Sony Intl. Mr. Ellerbe had been instrumental in developing new business marketing plates in the 80's for these labels. Back in the 80's everything went from LP to CD and this guy new how to make plenty $$$$$$$$$$ with re-release packages on recording artist and also he brokered the purchase of publishing for labels from major songwriters. He has a great love and knowledge of the business of boxing and has a proven track record in the entertainment industry. He's kind of an all around entrepreneurial dude with a lot of juice. But of course Mr, Heymon is "the juice!"
