What exactly does Pavlik bring that Calzaghe hasn't dealt with before?

Pavlik would have been a good quality contender in the 1990's.
Nowadays he is Hagler's reincarnation.
How times have changed in the Middleweight divisions.

I am slowly going off KP by the day. I like everything about the guy....even his obvious flaws but the nuthuggery on here is getting near-ridiculous. I promised that I'd ignore these pathetic comments about his 'supreme skills and power' but it's hard.

both lacy and kessler had no loses before meeting joe, same goes for pavlik.
so if joe beat pavlik like the other two up and comings before him then people would just say "pavlik wasnt tested".and still doubt joe.

Can I reverse the question? I love Clazaghe, I've always picked him to win in his last fights because I think he's one of the best. Look at one of my first posts and I say Calzaghe is probably one of the best in the business.

But Pavlik has impressed me to no end in his fights since Miranda.

So tell me something, What does Calzaghe bring that Pavlik has never seen? I know he's lighting fast, very intelligent and comes at weird angles. But I personally think he can deal with that. Especially since Calzaghe is very hittable. He doesn't have the best defense in the world.

They also both have an amazing workrate. But Pavlik seems to hit like a train and is very precise. I think it's going to be a good fight.

Pavlik is quicker then Lacy, hits probably as hard, can fight on the back foot and is crafty.

I just don't know how to call this one.

 

Good post respectful to both fighters. All I can say is this would be one hell of a fight, and hopefully we'll get to see it.
