I was a boxing fanatic up until around the time Lennox Lewis retired (not because he retired, but probably started paying a lot less attention around that time). Now I follow casually and still have an interest, but don't order many PPVs, etc. So my question is, seriously, is there any particular thing that happened or point in time where Don King ceased to be a truly major player in boxing. For a long time, he practically controlled the sport. I know he has gotten older, but so has Bob Arum and he seems to manage to remain relevant. So what, if anything, happened? How did the King of Kings fall?
all his big draws got old and beaten and he was not grooming new talent or wanting work hard at it anymore...he was a force for 30 years, all things come to an end...and toward his end...his big top dog was john ruiz...far cry from mike tyson cash cow he had
