What exactly has Bob Arum done to get so much hate?

I love how you try to flame when your initial post was **** to begin with...I love how you try to say its the fighters fans so they blame the promoter...I've threw out one bout that was never made because of Arum and you come up with this ****???

I dont care if he got beat or not..thats not the point...The point is the fight was blocked because of a ceartain promoter! The fight was in high demand and yet Arum felt the need to neglect it!

Its more to it than that...fixing fights, robbing his fighter (the same reason I cant stand King ass either) robbing paying fans and then try to insults them by feeding them a bunch of unwanted bull****, and always contradicts himself...Every promoter isnt a saint but Arum IMO takes this to another level!

Its has nothing to do with the "0".. the fight should have been made when they both were on top of their game...Its a fight I would still love to see but its lost some of its luster when Junmma got beat...Its just not the same anymore...You even know that!

 

luster maybe to the casual fan, but great fights have been made more when a fighter has already taken a loss....how many fights of the year involved undefeated fighters ???

and it just seems that arum is more full of **** cause he's the big dog right now....every promoter for the most part is full of ****, but only a handful are mainstream.....i dont give a **** what he says, as long as he puts up great fights, and he does

 

I strongly disagree...if thats the case, dont you think some hardcore fans on this site alone would discuss this fight more often?? Most posters on here are far from CASUAL fans??? You catch my drift now on how the fight isnt the same it would have been if it was made earlier.

Yep, he also plans on becoming boxing's first billionaire. Those two dreams go hand in hand. I can't envision how it would be much different if GBP had a monopoly, other than fighters getting paid less than they would be with a balance of power having a greed-consumed individual controlling every fighter. That is why Oscar likes the UFC model so much, it would certainly fast track him to the billionaire status he so craves.

 

Arum has put on big fights, but he also denies the fans many other equally as great if not greater fights. His childish refusal to work with De La Hoya, and his in house fighting ruin a lot of potentially great fights. Arum is a greedy piece of **** and I find it hard to believe that people still protect him so much.

He will eventually reach that status anyway. GBP will slowly take over completely and then we will get back to back huge fights. Hurry up and leave Arum.

 

Gary Shaw is known as a pretty straight up guy. I believe he parted ways with Dirrell because he didn't appreciate all the nonsense that he brought. It doesn;t change the fact that Shaw doesn't hold a tenth of the game that Top Rank owns. I agree though that for every decent promotor there are a dozen scumbags.

 

to me, it doesn't change ****...rarely do two superstars meet undefeated, and when they do...usually a snoozefest
excuses follow....fighter A was just too green, fighter B had an advantage etc etc....so really, idgaf when fighters meet as long as when they do, it's a great fight....

and though arum aint the only one putting out great fights, he is the best at what he does and that's not even up for debate....golden boy has had superstars fall in their hands, yet they can't seem to turn the page on their career due to poor promotion.....fact
