What exactly has Mosley done that make him so great?

i don't often agree with you rooney but you're bang on. fact is mosley is at worst the second most dangerous fighter in the world for mayweather right now. personally, i think he's got a better chance than pac did. ****, he's got a better chance than pavlik! why do people discredit fighters like this...well i know why but it's ****ing ridiculous

 

Man.. before he was set to fight Floyd this thread would have been: SSM is the GOAT and Floyd will never fight him.

AAAARGH of course, forgot about that one. But Mosley didn't win that, it was stopped in the 3rd due to an accidental headbutt and declared a no-contest.

 

what about he has beaten a prime Oscar twice, a prime Margarito, Fought a great close battle with a superb Cotto fight that could ve gone his way..
further he beat good fighters like Collazo, Holliday, Leija, Vargas, Antonio Diaz, John John Molina and Mayorga

Vernon Forrest just got his number.. Big strong fighters with a great jab and punch output just are bad match ups for shane
Winky Wright is even a better and bigger version of Forrest.. and one of the best fighters of the first half of this century.. Shane did actually pretty good against him

 

And so the de-grading of Mosley begins atsch

 

Yuo're opinion is usually wrong, as is in this case. You can make an argument that Tito might be better than Mosley, but how anyone can justify that Mosley is better than Oscar is beyond me.

Yeah you addressed other points but the way you wrote your post looked like you were dismissing him anyway for the Vargas bit. Anyway, cool, we are getting too technical now.

As far the other stuff you said, yeah it shows he can comeback from losses and takes challenges which is why I'm a fan of him, but that doesn't really add to his resume, which is what the TS is trying to say. He's a sort of overrated at welter specially, but so are the other 2 guys who get linked to Shane now, Floyd and Pac and like I said, Shane holds the best win against a prime DLH but that was years ago.

mosley is great, plain and simple. i mean his resume and skills are amazing. his lightweight reign was tremendous (albeit against B class opposition), his welter reign was short but memorable for being full of knockouts, he's consistently fought the best for the better part of 15 years with only mayweather and possibly quartey being the only exceptions. recent wins over collazo, vargas, and margarito and a fantastic showing against cotto place squarely among the best of the decade and one of the top fighters in the game today

 

Shane's been called overrated before Rooney...and BY Floyd fanboys. So save your crybaby "Only since he's fighting Floyd now" bul****...

 

How can you all praise him so much when he was proven to be a cheat?. Pretty sure if Calzaghe or Pac or Floyd DID get proven to be on drugs there would be an uproar.
