I don't think Arum did screw him. I think Arums company are specialists at making fighters huge name in huge fights with huge followings. Eventually, the fighter sees his salary of 8 million and realises if he goes on his own Arum has now made him a big enough name to make it 20 million. I think Cotto has recently done the same. Floyd wasn't the PPV star he wanted to be under Arum but he had no personality and his fights were often technical. Floyd will lie and say Arum screwed him but Floyd made himself big by engaging in fights like Corley and Cotto and also talking every fight up and moving up in weight. He made himself relevant and rich after he realised people want drama.
Floyd wanted those big fights, arum didn't deliver.. he wanted those big paydays, arum didn't deliver. Hasn't anyone ever noticed bob hardly ever builds and american star. It's always guys from other big boxing countries who have a big following. It's harder for an american to get that kind of following and produce big ppv numbers. I remember during a floyd fight (can't remember which) the commentators saying floyd and bob fell out because floyd wanted a huge poster promoting his fight but arum wouldn't do it lol. Sometimes in business people choose not to deal with certain people, boxings a business and this is whats happened here. I also think theres some kind of beef between bob and al haymon. This simply isn't true. Before Pac started to move out in weights and Mayweather v Cotto was the biggest fight touted at the time, Mayweather repeatedly said that he has a big problem with Bob Arum and will not be working with him. There are youtube clips out there to back this up
