Being a warrior is solely about mentality. A warrior is someone who'll fight anyone and when he's in the ring, he'll fight his heart out, leaving it all on the line. Having a poor chin doesn't mean a fighter isn't a warrior, in fact some glass chinned fighers like Khan, are the epitome of a warrior. It adds to their warrior status that they'll fight guys like Maidana despite their glass jaw.

Warriors come to fight. It has nothing to do with lack of defense though I suppose for the TV commentators it makes them easier to pick out if they have no defense and take a beating for their efforts.

    This is true.

Pavlik is a guy who isn't widely considered a warrior but he has the mentality of one. He isn't ever going to back down or give up in fights, and he'd fight anyone. He just hasn't been in that many wars so he's not considered a warrior, despite having all the essential attributes.

Cant hide behind demanding olympic drug testing or hide behind im only a fighter, u have to ask my promoter. Those two sometimes make me think they are the worst thing to happen to boxing. So many great warriors willing to fight each other for pennies and yet the mainstream fans think that boxers are chicken **** because all these ignorant fans know are pac and floyd:-(

a lot of times a lack of ability is labeled a warrrior when that's not the case... somebody that is willing to trade even when they dont have to, somebody that is exciting and shows a lot of heart.. you can be a technician or a brawler it doesnt matter is about giving it all in the ring

    :hat

Not only the style that can make you become a warrior. A warrior has to have no fear in his heart. He will duck nobody.

That's the thing, they don't have to highly skilled. Just like a technician can be a warrior, so can a brawler. You would see a lot of the top fighters with more skill quit before you would see Kirkland and Angulo quit.

"Anybody can swing at somebody" Come on man I don't mean to call you out, but that is a childish comment. They are top athletes, if that were the case why aren't you fighting in their place; or why aren't some of those sloppy MMA dudes fighting in their place?

Warriors come in all colors, styles, nationalities, and sizes.
