I'm curious to hear, in particular from Wilder fans what the offer needs to look like to persuade Wilder to step foot in the ring with AJ? Or does AJ need to give up every possible advantage and risk his current Sky/Matchroom/DAZN deals and take the fight on Shotime?

Try to keep the answers realistic and plausible. Please

I don't know why this is even an issue. Team Wilder have been very clear from the beginning and any reasonable person would already have given them the Ark of the Covenant, Excalibur and the Holy Grail and we'd now be looking forward to the fight. It's only Hearn and his paid shills on this site that can't see this for what it is.

    Sigh... Ok then.

I think the evidence suggests they want it on PPV and they want it and the rematch on their network. There's unlikely to be a commercially deliverable deal out there that will budge them from that position.

At least 50-50, in USA, his judges and ref. That's about it.

Based on Wilder's expectations, he'd need to offer at least 50/50, fight in the US, on a Showtime PPV card, very likely Wilder's choice of judges and ref as that's been crucial in his last 2 fights in him avoiding losing his 0. Also require him to make the lions share in the rematch if he wins and probably at least 40% or even 50% if he loses and takes the rematch.

But even then who knows if they'll risk it.

Im not sure anymore. I figured this fight would only happen if it was under the control of the PBC and on Showtime PPV. I figured Joshua would have to sign one of their contracts to get the job done. No DAZN, No ESPN its either SHOWTIME OR NO TIME.

But that DAZN offer was so good i thought they would break their stand and take it. So now im just not sure they have any interest in the fight what so ever under any banner including their own.

For me its one of the above.

I genuinely think that Wilder would rather lose his 0 to anyone other than Joshua.

I imagine that as soon as he loses said 0, negotiations will be swift and conclusive. For less than 60/40.

If Wilder was to lose and lose his belt and then went scampering to Joshua looking for that big deal id hope Joshua tells him to F off.

Yeah without the belt what exactly does Wilder bring to the table? Joshua might still want the fight but it wouldn't be a priority anymore and without any leverage Wilder would just need to accept whatever Joshua offers him, probably a flat fee.

Wilder's slave contract to his 3 managers and promoters means he is probably only getting about 15-20% of the overall purse.

Yeah, I basically hope that Brazilian hits a homerun and we get a Joshua rematch instead. Pretty sure he would gladly fight Joshi again selling his belt for $10M or so.

I think Wilder will have to lose first before considering an AJ match. DAZN isn’t PPV so there is no percentages/splits. It’s just a straight up cash offer and $40million is insane regardless of what the other guy is getting.

I think AJ needs to go to Alabama find Marcellous and publicly kick his ass all over Tuscaloosa, take photos and plaster them accross social media.

There really is little more Joshua and his team can do or concede! This fight by all rights should be a 70/ 30 split, be held in the UK and a rematch clause for 60/40 to the winner of first fight! This seems more than fair when Joshua is the one with 3 major belts, the man who does bigger numbers and is commercially the bigger draw and has taken more risk and is putting more in the line. It appears Joshua has changed his stance on the fight having to be in the UK and has offered Wilder way more than 30 per cent of the purse he really deserves. There is little more you can offer Wilder at this point. If the man who talks about one name one face' bs and says he wants to do something for the division and for the fans really wants this fight he sure doesn't appwap to have any excuse but to make it happen!? Joshua may have to just offer 50/ 50 and when that is turned down we can finally put this duck down with the ones that have passed throughout history!!

Now heres the thing that makes me laugh is that when it was reported that wilder team meaning finkle offer Joshua 50 million to fight him.....many ppl say that's a lie cause wilder doesn't even have close to 30 million. <<<<<<<But all of a sudden wilder has all the money to pay the judges? LMAO Something stinks.

The deal from dazn is good on paper but it didn't tell the whole story especially considering dazn ppl refuse to tell team wilder of what money Joshua is going to get if Joshua vs wilder fight? A fighter has a right to know what the opponents purse is before signing a contract to fight. I mean isn't boxing a business?
