Catchweights are fine in my book. Being uber strict about weight divisions just means matchmaking is harder. Catchweights are just a means to get two boxers in the ring who would otherwise not be able to/prepared to. There are so many divisions now compared to the past, that a few llbs here and there make no difference. We wouldn't have Khan vs Canelo without catchweights, and I want to see that fight.

And who bothers about differences in weight at HW? We still watch the fights and in some cases the weight difference in a heavyweight fight is huge. Really following most people's logic on here, there ought to be a super-heavy division, but there isn't. Does anyone complain? No.

 

What the **** are you on about? Loads of people have complained about the lack of a super heavyweight division over the years and in recent times especially so.
