What fight did you have closer? ODLH vs PBF or Calzaghe vs BHop?

    I find it interesting that everyone is so quick to write off Bernard Hopkins as being old, past it and shot, especially considering how many times he beat back criticism of the exact same thing

    The same terms they applied to Oscar De La Hoya during the build up to PBF, giving him next to no chance of victory.

    In my book, despite the KD, ODLH was unlucky not to get a 6-6 draw in the fight vs Floyd... where as Joe got an 8-4 to 9 -3 victory over Hopkins.

    Who was more shot? ODLH, coming off losses in most of his major bouts or Hopkins, coming off two controversial losses against Taylor that were felt could have gone either way, before defeating Winky Wright (at the time, a P4P Top 10) and Tarver (At the time, a P4P Top 10)

    With this in mind, having seen Roy turn back the clock vs Tito early in the fight, have we not learnt our lesson in counting out GREAT fighters?

    Neither of these fights were close. Bernard closed his eyes and landed the punch of his life in the first, and that is the only round I gave him. I gave Oscar 2 rounds, so I guess Oscar did a bit better in his schooling than Borenard. They are both as worthless as the other. Oscar is de massa, and Bernard is de fiel-hand.

    Oscar....."Now Bernard, today, I need you to cut the grass in front of the GBP Headquarters building.

    Bernard....."Yass, Sah, Baws, I sho' nuff loves my job. Where de lawnmower at?"

    Oscar....."Lawnmower?" (laughs)..."Around here, with gas up to 4.09 a gallon, we arent using a lawnmower, Bernard. Jes git on your hands and knees, and cut as much as you can. Use your hands to pull it out....Understand?"

    Bernard.....(Takes his hat off) Well suh, it sho is gonna be a hot muthafukka today....Kin I at least gits sum watah?"

    Oscar....."Gotdamnit, Bernard, what do you think I run here, a Gotdamned Charity? This is GBP, there is only bottled water for the Corporate Meetings. When you are done, in 6 hours, you can use the bathroom, and git some water from the faucett"

    Bernard.....(Grumbling under his breath) "cheap ass muthafukka"

    OScar...."What was that???!!"

    Bernard...."Nothin suh, jes thinkin' how much grass I'se gonna cut today!"
