    Erik Morales-Daniel Zaragoza

A very fun fight between the young up and coming Morales and the aging but still contentious Zaragoza.

    Russ,

    You like Burton(Augustus) vs Ward?

Probably one of my all time favourite brawls. Perfect fight to watch when hungover and your brain is working at 30%.
I must have seen it 40 times.

Hah, yeah. I love that fight.

I think Burton's work in that fight was unappreciated... The final punch stats showed how subtle he was working off the ropes. Ward missed a lot of those punches that he was being given credit for.

Do you agree? I'd imagine Augustus would have edged it if I was scoring.

I thought Augustus was the better fighter overall fairly clearly, even with the knockdown.

He landed a lot of shots on Ward, Micky hardly blinked but a lot of his harder blows werent finding the mark.

I only bothered scoring it twice..both times I had EA up by a point. I just enjoy to fight now, absolute classic.

They should of rematched, that would have been the tits.

Another underrated fight I watched a few weeks ago that I forgot was a beaut, was Lacy-Sheika. Awesome fight that one, we tend to overlook some of these modern classics that didnt get a lot of attention at the time for one reason or another. I thought it was pretty clear in that fight Lacy's flaws were starting to show themselves more often. Ill never forget the **** I copped for saying that Sheika will try to box more in this fight and time Lacy as he comes in, I felt he had the chin to get away with it for a while. He did it quite well but also the brawler in Sheika was on fire that night aswell. Great battle that wasnt expected to be.

Huh, haven't seen that one. But I'll definitely check it out now, thanks.

If you're an Augustus fan, you NEED to see him fight, and beat the crap out of, Thaxton.

Thaxton is still making waves to this day, good solid fighter. I think Augustus was the only one to ever stop him too. Thaxton's a damned tough guy.

I'm a fan of showboating so an Augustus fight is always fun. Watching Thaxton fight right now, thanks for the tip.

One i love watching is the Roger Mayweather v Harold Brazier fight.. Brazier was a tough guy from indianapolis, he had Roget at a standstill , it was almost a stalemate, Roger was lucky to come through it, Roger was an incredible guy.........

Last fight I've watched recently was, of all things, Michael Grant vs Kevin Montiy from September last year...saw it a couple weeks ago.

They can't all be legendary bouts!

a great card.. a great time i thought for heavyweights..

Bowe and Lennox were both hiding in the wings waiting for title shots..

I wish they could have met.. it was a hot ticket that never happened..
