For me it was De La Hoya V Tito. i could not get enough of that fight in the build up. shame it never lived up to expectations

I remember being really excited for MAB v Morales 1. I had a good feeling that this was going to be a classic and that MAB would of beat him. Many were writing MAB off. it far exceeded the expectations

Foreman--Ali. For the lighter weights it was probably the matchup of the Z-men, zarate/zamora.

I was giddy before Vazquez/Marquez III. I was expecting something brilliant, and it actually surpassed what I hoped for. As soon as Jimmy Lennon said "This is Showtime!" and the lights lit up, I though "Yeah, this is awesome".

Even more recently, Margarito vs. Cotto. I was incredibly pumped up for that one.

Sadly, I can't say any fights before 2004 really, as that's when I started watching boxing properly. I used to enjoy it, but only recently followed it religiously.

I wish I understood the magnitude of fights like Lewis/Tyson or DLH/Tito at the time.

I just love watching boxing though. I get excited for undercard fights, probably way too much. There hasn't been many main event fights that I haven't been excited for. Forrest/Mora rings a bell, though. I couldn't care less about either. Even though I expected a one-sided fight, even Pavlik-Lockett was exciting at the time.

    Who considered Lewis-Tyson 50/50?!?!?

I was only a wee boy for the first Bruno fight. I stayed up into the middle of the night with my pa to listen to the fight on the radio. That was the beginning of my connection to boxing and what was expected of the fight was irrelevant. I knew that Bruno was going to win...ah well....

Saw Hearns-Hagler at closed circuit. Tension was in the air.

Of course Ali-Frazier (FOC) & Ali-Foreman were right up there too.

    No ****?

I have quite a lot of footage from the build up to that fight and what interests me is that not a single ex-fighter or trainer or serious fight man picked Mike. All the fight people picked Lewis. It was only proffesional media men who picked Tyson.

But I do have man in the street reel where the picks are closer (though still in favour of Lewis). Maybe it was a case of odds being shortened by short money arriving in Vegas.

    Tyson-Danny Williams

I'm a relatively new fan to the sport, and this was the first live Tyson fight I was going to watch. I was pumped for it, and disapointed when Tyson showed he was a shell of his former self.

Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez 2. I saw the first fight which was fantastic, and I expected this to be a great fight also. I favoured Marquez. What a great fight it turned out to be.

Recently, Hopkin's vs. Calzaghe had me unbelievably excited.

I really wanted to see Hopkin's cemented as one of if not the best of his generation.
