What fight made Ali into a SHOT boxer???

While some fighters have been finished by one fight, Ali was finished by several. He took some serious, serious poundings in the course of about four years that all added up.

Shavers was the finishing blow, though I must say, I think Ali did enough to steal a close victory on the virtue of stealing the 15th round back by nearly stopping Shavers.

He never looked even world class again after Shavers, where, prior to Earnie and after the Thrilla, he managed to fight extremely well in spurts, even having whole rounds where he looked perfectly in form, which a shot fighter usually can't do.
