What fight was more shocking (Tyson-Douglass or Jones-Tarver 2)?

I know as far as odds go, Douglass was a HUGE underdog.

But to me the fact that Tarver KO'ed Jones in the second round was probably the most shocked I have ever been watching a sporting event.

Damn...I had a huge hangover the next day (like most fights, but I like to refer to it as my Jones-Tarver 2 hangover  ).

Btw, the next day I had to go on stage outdoors in 95 degree weather. What a bummer that weekend was.

I don't think there's a bigger upset than Tyson-Douglas in boxing or perhaps sports history.

I was completely shocked with both outcomes, but I have to say Tyson-Douglas by a good margin. Tyson never had a close fight up to that point and I didn't even give Douglas a chance. It's like the world around me stopped when I heard Tyson was knocked out. Tarver had fought Jones pretty well in their first fight so I thought he could do a decent job again. I didn't expect him to win however.

both huge upsets. but it's got to be tyson. tyson was seen as bulletproof at that point. tarver gave roy problems in the first fight so a tarver win wasn't a huge shock just in the manner it happeed.

Tyson.....I believe both were thought to be invincible for different reasons. Tyson was feared and destructive like the 85 Bears, Jones unbeatable and simply playing the game on a different level like 07 Patriots. But when Tyson lost, he was seemingly in his prime and there were no signs leading up to it that pointed to his being vulnerable. Jones had been on top for so long and if you were watching closely, he had shown signs of slowing down 3 years earlier. His loss was shocking, but not earth shattering like Tyson's because of these differences.

The outcome of Douglas-Tyson was far more shocking, as Tarver wasn't nearly considered the no-hoper that Douglas was, and had given Jones a close and tough fight the first time around.

As for the moment itself, the KO of Jones might have been more shocking as it was a one-punch KO that seemed to come out of nowhere. Jones had won the first round of the fight and was doing well. On the other hand, Tyson had taken a beating that night, with his eye swelled shut, and was hurt in the 9th round and taking a pounding on the ropes.

Tyson-Douglas, and not even close. I was just a kid, and I couldn't believe my eyes.

I predicted Tarver to knock Jones out, so I was expecting to see that. I even won a bet on ESB for that fight.

Tyson was taking a beatdown over the course of the entire fight. Tarver threw one punch early, and fights over.

It depends on who you ask, but to me I would have to say Tarver KO2 Roy was more shocking. Even though no one gave Buster a chance, and some thought Tarver even won the first fight.

Did you really? I thought Tarver had somewhat a chance to pull out a decision if the fight was close like the first fight.

    Tyson-Douglas by far.

We already saw how Jones struggled with Tarver. And Jones' loss was by a 1 punch KO.

Tyson-Douglas on the other was a thorough beating with a vicious KO at the end.

I wasn't that shocked that Tarver beat Jones, only the way that he beat him. If you watched their first fight it was clear that Tarver could hang with Jones, hell, Tarver would have probably won the fight if it were 15 rounds.

    Douglas on the other hand...
