What fight was more shocking (Tyson-Douglass or Jones-Tarver 2)?

    Yep.

Also, Tarver gave Roy a good fight in their first match, so it wasn't unreasonable to see him beating Roy in the rematch. That said, the second round knockout was definitely a shock. I felt so sick.

There is not a bigger upset than Tyson-Douglas in the sport of boxing or perhaps sports history.

Tyson-Douglas was the biggest upset in Boxing history! No one outside of Douglas' camp truly expected him to win. I personally didn't think he'd make it past the 3rd round; I and everyone else were already looking ahead to Tyson-Holyfield. Going into the Jones-Tarver II fight although most thought Jones would win a Tarver win wasn't out of the question. It was big upset, but not as big as Tyson-Douglas.

Let me start by saying what others have said--obviously, nothing is gonna top Douglas - Tyson. Jones vs Tarver was a big upset because we, at least me, thought Jones just didn't properly train last time around and was drained from coming down from 200lbs.

Then we have...Others that arent going to be as shocking, but still quite shocking.

Julio Cesar Chavez vs Frankie Randall I - At that time I didn't know much of Frankie and most believed Chavez was going to beat him easily. To everyone's surprised, he not only beat Chavez in the scorecards, but also knocked him down. This was Chavez's first official loss.

Carlos Quintana vs Paul Williams - everyone expected a domination for Paul since Quintana seemed to get crushed by Cotto in his last outing and didn't appear to be able to handle Punishment well. Though, he ended up being the one to give punishment that night.

Nonito Donaire vs Vic Darchynian - I'm not sure how many people knew about Donaire, but he was a huge underdog. In part was because Vic was developing some sort of sense of invincibility, in part due to the level of opposition they were throwing him in there against, and the size advantage he had over his opponents. This all ended with a perfect counter left hook Nonito landed in the 5th round. It was also an overall dominating performance by Nonito.

Zab Judah vs Carlos Baldomir - With that record of Carlos Baldomir, I don't know or think anyone expect him to win. I could care less, but I know they made a big deal about this upset.

the thing here is that Tarver almost beat Jones already a few months earlier, so we already knew that AT was a problem for Roy, even though the way in which he won was shocking, of course.
Douglas however wasn't supposed to be any problem at all for "unbeatable Tyson", who was also in his prime i might add, whereas Jones was 34.

I'll add my vote to the Tyson/Douglas group. I was so sure that Tyson was going to win by early KO that I didn't even watch the fight on TV; I watched a Chuck Norris movie called "The Hero and The Terror" instead because my girlfriend was over and she didn't like boxing. I never let her forget that I missed the greatest upset in boxing history because of her.

Maybe when Lex Luger beat Hogan and the entire NWO to take the belt around '99 or so? That was even more shocking. :yikes

The only upset bigger than Tyson versus Douglas was David versus Goliath.
