We can learn from every great fighter . Besides their great physical attributes, the Ray Robinson's , Archey Moore's, Ezzard Charles's , all have lesson's we can learn from. But one great fighter who I saw in his prime, Willie Pep had a UNIQUE quality in his repertoire that truly couldn't be taught....His uncanny ability to anticipate his opponent's next move and act upon it, thus avoiding almost all blows before his opponent's punches blows were thrown...Akin to reading the cards of the other card player... This cannot be taught...Probably the only other boxer in history, that had this innate talent so rare, was Young Griffo of down under...Two uncanny fighters 40years apart... We will never see their likes again...
Surf, great explanation of Harry Greb's amazing technique.. It was said by almost all who saw him that he seemed stronger and faster in the last rounds, than at the beginning...His opponents were so tired, bewildered and tense from hitting empty air that they all tired from the volleys of blows in their face, tiring them in the later rounds , for the TIRELESS Greb just getting started...
