grew up in a house that was full of big ali fans in the 70's....in the 80's i got leonard v hagler on vhs and played it maybe 50 times....then when i seen watson v benn i was hooked on the sport, i'd already be a boxing fan a while, but that fight was everything i loved about boxing, brains and art over brawn..i was a huge watson fan...got pissed and cried the night mccallum punished him badly, don't mind telling you's
first fight i remember watching was ray close-eubank 1. Steve Collins was first person i really liked in boxing and then after that it was Lennox Lewis, my da was a big fan.
I watched a best of tape of Roberto Duran. It had a lot of his fights on it,a can remember cheering as if it where live when he beat Davie Moore and the Iran Barkley. Then a started following Scott Harrison,Alex Arthur and Hatton. That's when i really started following a lot of boxing.
