Hopkins is a notorious solid all rounder.

Look at what happened to Jones when that speed diminished.

I just feel its very disrespectful to say any world champion has no REAL boxing talent.

The ability to learn is a natural trait that is often overlooked. Even if you consider talent different from skill. The ability to learn (not the actual skill obtained after the learning process) is a talent.

Absolutely. I used Larry Bird as an example because I recently saw a documentary on him appropriately called "Larry Legend" (which was excellent by the way. Anyway, in this documentary he had a line where he talked about when he first discovered that he had a natural talent for the game. He said he noticed that he was picking things up much more quickly than his teammates and friends who were working just as hard as him. ;)

Two bad submissions from above: Gatti and Hopkins.

Gatti had solid boxing ability, particularly at lower weights.

Hopkins... umm. No comment. Great talent, one of the highest Boxing IQs in history.

mayorga, gatti, hatton. Vargas had talent but along with david reid and william joppy he got brutally beatdown with cast handwraps.

    Ruiz, Baldomir.

Gatti was very athletic, and a skilled boxer when he wanted to be.

Gatti and el feroz were very talented boxers...

Ricardo mayorga however is not and his career has been pretty good thus far

It's inexplicable how Ruiz managed to become a two-time HW champion, that's like a boxing sin. That being said, Ruiz is my nominee for this thread.
