Duran used to regularly get up to near 200lbs before Lightweight and Welterweight fights.

chris eubank - 30 to 20 pounds before fights. wieghed 220 (with clothes on albiet)in 1993

roberto duran - 60 pounds before leonard

steve luevano - 30 pounds but sometimes only less than 10 pounds

duke mckenzie - wieghed 140 in his flywieght days but up to 154 when out of a fight.

james toney - story's are varied we knew he was struggling at 160 but it seems he was a 190 pound guy making 160. so 30 odd pounds

floyd mayweather jr- to make 130 had to not eat for 4 days. he is under 160 pounds now but back then he was a solid 140 odd guy

i think the lamotta thing is not real wieght draining. he was a fat man outside of fights. where as nowadays we can have solid guys get rid of all there water and ....other bodily stuff. to make a wieght division. then have a day of refilling, rehydrating and rest. and be fresh and ready for the fight next day.

eubank said he could only have 5 sprays of water the whole day he was training. at the end of the day he once dropped a plastic bag and didnt have the energy to pick it up, his trainer picked it up and took him home. they go to the wiegh in at 168 pounds. then chilled all day and drank as much water as he wanted and ate what he needed.

just not eating isnt really wieght draining it's just making wieght.

Fenech was a master of this, so I hear. Scary considering the lower divisions he was active in.
