Pacqiao almost knocked him out in their first fight. One more KD and it would be TKO1.

There's a slight difference in getting knocked OUT and getting stopped on the knockdown rule, is it not?

Well I have always felt JCC and JMM are very similar fighters. JCC is sometimes ruled as a brawler but he did alot of things a skilled counter puncher did. His chin would be his edge along with power but JMM is just too good as a counter puncher. When JCC gets inside on JMM he would have to be very very cautious as JMM has the pinpoint accuracy with his combinations to put him in trouble. JMM tastes the canvas no doubt but I think that would only give JCC the mentality that he can take him out which would mean he would create more opportunities for JMM to catch him in return. JMM might as well have the edge in speed. If JMM is to get the win I think he needs to be dropped first.

When have you ever seen JMM lose (fairly) to anyone who has come right at him?

I think Saddler ****s his world up. Generally, if you were to get beaten by that guy, that's how it would go, and I'd expect Marquez to get beaten by him.

JMM has always been a counter puncher. It wasn't until after he saw no one was paying attention to his style that he said himself he needed to be more exciting. He has always had the capability to be a fighter but why would he need to when he was clearly getting wins with little damage.

So you think Chavez turning it up would be bad for JMM? In order to turn it up he needs to make himself vulnerable and that only benefits JMM. PBF had a huge size advantage. Basically every other advantage and he was smart by not turning it up. Hell at one point when he did trade with JMM early in the fight he got hit with a 3 punch combination by JMM. I have never seen PBF hit with a 3 punch combination....

No. Not even close. JMM stops him fairly easy. Mosquero almost did. Valero was a brutal KO waiting to happen.

with a different ref that fight would have been ruled a KO. That would have been a ko loss on his record with 70% of the refs in the world.

Chavez ain't passive like Mayweather. In the trenches Marquez @130-135 would be broken down by Julio. Nothing Marquez has in his arsenal would make Chavez stop.

Chavez Ain't Manny , Julio smells blood he will finish him.
    Chavez was a savage.

    Take this to classic forum.
Lets see what they say about this.

There was no KD rule in effect so how would a 4th KD stop him?
