slugger is a post 2009 boxing fan. he doesn't realize that Mayweather had a full career before WW. he also doesn't have enough boxing knowledge to know that as fighters move up in weight their style changes and power decreases. all he knows is pac so he thinks power carries fopr everyone. mayweather has a great chance of stopping JMM at 130 where he was much more aggressive.

floyd deliberately missed the weight against jmm and came bigger and yet failed to stop marquez. don't confuse a drained corrales for a jmm that is near his prime weight.

    Shut up.

The weight didn't effect the actual outcome, and 130 was his prime division, he was quicker and had a lot more power

I can't see Marquez taking the kind of schooling he took for 12 rounds at super-featherweight.

as usual, another fantasy win from floyd and this time it's via KO when he couldn't stop carlos hernandez or even a certain gregorio vargas at the weight. stop sucking floyd's nuts.

A fantasy win? He beat him in real life. Saying he would have somehow did a worse job at his prime weight is just pathetic reasoning.

If you don't want to hear about matchups that haven't happened, don't post in a thread that is clearly about fantasy matchups.

No, but he'd certainly stand a better chance in his prime of stopping a fighter he beat up for 12 rounds. It's possible he wouldn't, Marquez is tough, but Floyd was a machine at 130.

You act like JMM doesn't have top of the line D! Especially at the lower weights.. Dude used to be very technical... Like beyond belief!
