Can't think of any I despise really. I didn't like Khan but now tha hype job has been exposed it's all good. I respect Hopkins as a fighter and his acheivements but I don't like his disrespectful attitude. His attitude throughout the whole Calzaghe affair was disgusting.
Its difficult to understand unless one of your favorite fighters has been ducked repeatedly.......Does pray for the ultimate demise of a fighter qualify as hate?
Wladimir Klitschko, mainly because of his fans. You do not have to look any further than klitschko.com and literally see people dangling from his ball sack. They act like he has beaten Ali, Foreman, Marciano and Lewis all on the same night. They act like his losses against Sanders and Brewster never happened. His best win was against a guy who just fought at LHW, Chris Byrd. The Term "nuthugger" was invented to describe his fans. He fights scared and fights in the worst division in boxing. The best competition they can find in the division to fight him is a washed up Rahman, a 40 year old Maskaev and an overwieght Toney. This is the best the HW division can offer. Wladimir Klitschko defines the term "Best of the Worst."
i hate Floyd Mayweather jr., because he avoided a lot of good fighters,he lost the fight with Oscar De la Hoya, and i don't like his style
i thought he did lose the de la hoya fight and so what if were noobs you were a noob once to so watch our mouth:smoke
I dunno, probably in this context it does. My contempt is always reserved more for a fighter's fans than the guy himself, its the way they twist the truth for their own agendas I can't stand. And I also have an inbuilt contempt for fighters who are highly rated but don't have strong resumes. For me it's all about the resume. Thus, I often can't stand fans of Naseem Hamed, they are among the very worst for inventing myths to hide the truth. Some of the lies have included: - Naz has a great chin I have heard this said often, it drives me berserk. There is not one shred of evidence to support this assertion, and yet it seems to be widely believed. - Naz "dominated the featherweight division" / "beat everyone there was to beat" / "has a good resume" No he did not, no he did not, and no he doesn't. - Naz peaked in the mid-90s and was well past-prime by the time he fought Barrera Again, a little thought and analysis of the facts would go down well here. Untrue, but definitely convenient for fans. - Naz could've beaten Barrera if he trained hard enough and had his head screwed on right Oh dear. If my auntie had bollocks she'd be my uncle. And yet I never disliked Naz as a boxer. I thought he was really entertaining to watch, I actually attended a few of his fights in the UK. But I think I come across as a "hater" of the Prince because it frustrates me that these myths are now taken as truth, when they most certainly are not. As I said though, this contempt is more for his fans than the man himself.
I was never a noob. I was born into ESB Acceptance. There's no way he lost the DLH fight. I couldn't believe it was even a split.
I get it now. You hate Naz I'm sure theres more Pacfan, its ok, spill it. Who else(s) (fans) do you hate?
I don't hate any fighter - it is more the fan base. You can watch it here on ESB all day long. All those people don't dislike Calzaghe - they just dislike the people saying he is the greatest SMW right now. They want Calzaghe to lose, just to laugh at the people on the board. (just an example) So as for me: I dislike the anti-Calzaghe crowd.
You're missing the point! When Naz actually fought, I never sat hoping for him to lose. I care about a small select group of my favourite fighters (Pacquiao, JM Marquez, Jones Jr, Hopkins, Toney, David Haye, Cotto, few others), but other than them I don't care who wins or loses, I just want to see a good fair fight with the best man winning, whoever that may be. When Naz fought, I didn't care. In fact, I do remember hoping he would beat Kevin Kelley as in my younger days I wanted British boxing to gain more respect across the pond (nowadays I couldn't care less, I have renounced all forms of patriotism, national bias, etc). But after the fighting has stopped, it's the myths constructed by biased fans that really get to me, which make me speak out against them, which in turn makes it seem like I dislike the actual fighter, which isn't the case. I am merely realistic and care about the truth of the matter, as I care about this sport. D'you get me?
