I don't have any all time rankings. I think all time rankings(in pretty much every sport) are pointless. Every last all time ranking out there is filled with bias. Things change and unless you actually lived through an era of a fighter, and experienced his career first hand, it's almost impossible to accurately gauge his true greatness.

Hopkins is not a racist. The fact that people attempt to label him one based on one comment is ridiculous.

Living through someone's era is not the only way to accurately gauge someone's greatness. That's why there is footage of fighters and records.

I haven't watched those fights in a while. Watching it live, I felt Hopkins won both of them, but I need to watch them again. Despite what alot of people say, I thought both fights were close enough to go either way.

Footage and records can only tell you so much. If some kid watches old footage on Michael Jordan 40 years from now, he won't be able to appreciate the full impact Jordan had on the game. That same kid will also compare Jordan to players of his era; not realizing how much the game has changed, and how much better players were able to be because of Jordan.

Saying something stupid is not akin to being racist.

Then that same kid needs to do more research. I know very well how much the sport has changed. You shouldn't put such limitations on what people do and don't understand, what they can fathom, and so on. Footage and records tell you a great deal, and a comparison in context can be done by those who choose to do so if they have done enough research. People who are determined enough and interested enough can find the context and proper perspective.

Also, not everyone's ATG list is biased, or at least biased enough that it makes any sort of discernable difference. All bias is not equal.

And you may not have ATG rankings, but you DO rate Hopkins top 10 all time. At least according to this poll.

    Hmmm...

biased for intelligent, mentally strong, dedicated fighters/ young, hungry, unbeaten dangermen...

biased against mentally weak, arrogant, inactive fighters, and against shot/washed-up have-been NAMES.
