Montiel and Casamayor aren't as good as Floyd, and i'm a fan of both, a huge Casa fan actually. I think Mayweather is better than Jones.

Not for me Flea, i'm not talking resume or anything. I'm not on the bandwagon and you know i'm not. I'll reel off a shitload of atgs i rate over Floyd for you right now if you want and you know me Flea. But i rate him over Jones as a fighter/boxer (whatever you want to call it, a ****ing pugilist).

Roy Jones just did things that were amazing.

While Mayweather is all around good effective fighter and he is hard to hit and stuff - there is nothing really sensational about him to watch.

Did I not write "Although, until that day it is purely speculation" immediately after it?

Sugar Ray Leonard and Duran are better than money at the moment for me although if he beats Pac then say fought a Williams or Martinez at 160 i might have to re-evaluate that position. At the moment Mayweather, Whitaker and Jones are really close in my eyes cant seperate them.

I know. The lounge is terrible. It's like a little inbred club where your boxing knowledge is weighed by the amount of posts you have under your avatar. Might as well just get their dicks and rulers out!

My only problem earlier is that because I picked a modern day fighter as the person i rate as the best boxer I've seen, people automatically assume that I have not watched any fights from yesteryear.

To be honest I am not that schooled on old time fighters

All my boxing knowledge has just come from watching boxing live and collecting magazines and videos,

I seen a few old time fighters - like Ali , etc

But most fighters I am familar with is from the 1990's onwards.

It just so happens though during this time I have seen fighters better than Mayweahter.

Roy Jones the obvious one. :bbb

Agreed. A fighter supposedly has to show 'it' before you can make educated assumptions based on what you've seen. A view which I strongly disagree with.

It's like me predicting Floyd would dominate Mosley the other night and not run away(which many thought he was guility of before). I knew from watching his fights that he had that in his locker and would be able to pull it off against Shane without much problem. I didn't need to see evidence of him actually doing it to come to that conclusion.

I read people saying Winky Wright would apparently 'dominate' Floyd at 154 before the Mosley fight. Isn't that just speculation? :huh
