Jaime Barcelona has been fighting up and comers for well over a decade now has gone the distance with a bunch of world champs and just recently scored his career best win at 40 years of age decisioning Eden Sonsona twice

    Yeah I know.

    But I'll take that #easywork.

Unlike his man-crush Floyd. The guy that he said was too small to fight GGG ... yet GGG fighting Ward is A-OK.

HBO don't make or promote fights or fighters. Ward wasn't coming down from 175 and GGG wasn't going up which only makes sense. The thing is that when Ward was at 168 he was more than willing to break GGG off a stiff beatdown but had no takers from GGG or Sanchez. GGG is easy work for Ward and every body knows it.

GGG has no problem with going to 168 because he had already made statements to that effect before Ward came into the picture. That is what drew Wards interest. You can act like GGG's boxing skills are on par with Ward's but you know better. He should have kept his mouth shut if he didn't want that smoke or stated that he would fight any body but Ward at 168. If you are saying that GGG was just running his mouth like Floyd then I can live with that because like Floyd he knew he wasn't getting in that ring with Ward. I would consider him a smart man in that case.

Ward declined him twice. I can't change history for you.
I was pointing out Pimple's hypocrisy there. Check his comment. My comment is his comment, with names changed. Pimple has some giant double standards here.

Fact: GGG was prepared to fight at SMW and then return to MW.
Fact: GGG was prepared to fight at LMW and then return to MW.

You can argue all you want about Ward's greatness and Floyd's greatness but the simple fact is they both could have had a piece of him and declined.

Whether Ward or Floyd "would have" beaten GGG is irrelevant to this conversation.

GGG wanted to move up and fight at 168 but not Ward. After Ward went to 175, he stated that he wasn't coming back down for a GGG fight because he was past that and I believe that if he would have made that sacrifice it would have been for nothing because Sanchez wasn't going for it. Fact: Mayweather was not going to fight GGG at 168. Fact: GGG wasn't going to 168 for Ward and you know that.

Prove it. I can quote two instances where Ward rejected the GGG match. You can't quote a single one where GGG said "no".
Your belief does not make it so.
Fact: Golovkin said he would go to 154 for PBF.
Fact: Ward declined the fight twice. He didn't want that work and you know it.

I think theres quite a few fighters to list that fought as many top guys in and around their division as realistically possible, but the 'beat them all' part imo makes it tough to name someone.

Roc Nation sent Tom an offer for a fight with Golovkin where Ward and Golovkin would split 50/50.

Team G never even sent a counter offer to attempt to negotiate terms to try and reach a deal. They simply turned it down.

    .........
“It would’ve been a bad deal to take,” Loeffler said via the latimes.com. “If the pay-per-view for the Lemieux fight is what we think it should be, Gennady would deserve more than 50% against Ward, considering Ward has barely fought outside of California. So it’s unreasonable to ask us to commit to that right now.”
    ........

Same ol same ol. They were offered the fight and instead of negotiating to terms, they split hairs over numbers, maneuvered for bigger fights and played the A side B side game, same as almost every other fighter.

I dont really care at this point, it is what it is. I like Golovkin and I didnt expect or want him to fight Ward. But I keep seeing people act so sure of themselves that Ward never even attempted to make the fight or ever offered them a contract, and thats simply not the truth.

Pretty sure Loeffler said that if they want to split the money then they could split the weight at 164 as well, and Ward turned that down.
