Antonio "The Legend Killer" Tarver who took this nickname just before getting badly outboxed by old Hopkins in his first fight in LHW.

    Thirded?

The only thing Ruslan has in common with Mike Tyson is that they are both boxers... :yep

As others have pointed out, Kelly "the Ghost" Pavlik always made me scratch my head a little...he's not exactly a ghost in the ring. His chin always makes itself available. I like him and wish him the best on his comeback trail, but he definitely needs a new nickname...

    Bernard 'The Executioner' Hopkins

Silly nickname. More worthy would be 'Boring' and 'Whinging'.

Carl 'The Cobra' Froch. Probably chosen for alliterative quality, but paints a picture of someone whose fighting style is the exact opposite of Froch's.

Nicknames, in the past were coined by sportswriters. I remember there was an outcry when Ray Leonard started calling himself "Sugar", that he first has to prove that he deserves to be called one. One of the worst I can think of is Larry " the Legend" Donald. First time I saw him fight, the commentators had to control themselves from laughing out loud.

Really? Love Hopkin's nickname and the masks he wears during his ring walk.

Dr. Iron Fist is just stupid, but can't say it backfires on Wlad. Would suggest that The Entertainer for Jonny Nelson was all wrong for him.
