Probably Bob Fitzsimmons, although Sam Langford, Rocky Marciano and Jack Dempsey would also be good options.
No, even though I'd love to say that! But seriously, raw power means nothing against someone like Toney. You need very skilled fighter to stop someone like him. That's why for example Jack Sharkey stopped Tommy Loughran, but many stronger punchers couldn't come close to that.
He had 92 fights over nearly 30 years from middleweight to heavyweight and not one person found a way to do it.
Bob foster would not ko toney, sam peter did hit harder than Foster h2h sure, and toney took everything from him. Jackson who? Julian jackson? Please. A natural super welter is not stopping a guy with granite chin + great defence
It's important to note how much more important is ability to land punches (especially the ones that are not easy to see) than raw power. Foster might not have the same power Peter had, but he was much better boxer and puncher, that's more important than who hits harder. I don't believe that Foster would stop Toney, but comparing him to Peter is pointless.
Foster was known for breaking durable fighters, but I don't think he'd get through Toney's defence enough to do prove he could, and I doubt he has the fire power anyway.
Nobody is comparing him with peter, all i said is that peter had more power . i see that still you are the undisputed king of the manipulation
This is not manipulation, I just said that comparing power isn't the end of debate. Sometimes less powerful, but better punchers could stop durable and good defensive fighters. That's all, there is no manipulation here.
Maybe, maybe not. I don't think Fitzsimmons was ever schooled by any fighter. Give him 15 rounds and he'd have great chances of breaking down any fighter.
You said that i was comparing Peter with Foster as fighters and i did not, what i said is a valid point, Peter had more power than Foster because he was a hw puncher and Foster was a lhw puncher. Of course Foster was more skilled anf the better fighter. And i doubt that Peter had "only power" .
