Do you ever want a fighter that, you're a fan of, to lose? If so, who and why? I'm a fan of Danny Garcia; I like that he's humble and doesn't engage in all the trash talk. I believe he's willing to fight anyone and gives it his best everytime out. But given his recent performances and attitude towards some questionable decisions, I want him to take an official L. I think that taking a loss and, his acceptance of that loss, will help rebuild his reputation. It might also cause him to hire an additional trainer because I believe he's reached his peak with his father. Gennady Golovkin. I like Golovkin, nothing to dislike about him. He's got a great attitude and respect in and outside of the ring. He's a very patient, calculated, and intelligent fighter. Despite what some might believe, he's not a brawler, he's a tactician; and if he wasn't scoring KO's so consistently, I think some people would consider him boring. He's my kind of fighter (calm, collective, calculating), the power is just an added bonus. :deal The reason I want him to lose is because I want that aura of invincibility gone. I want him to be "human", so to speak. But I don't want him to lose to anyone, I'd prefer it'd be a worthy opponent, and I'd like to see Golovkin avenge that loss. Terence Crawford. I like Crawford's style, and he's a young, hungry fighter. He has so much potential. Some people consider him a "ducker" and I completely disagree. The reason I want him to lose? Top Rank is carefully matchmaking him. I want to see him tested, I want to see him bite down and fight for a victory. I want someone to take him to hell and back and make him EARN that victory. Agree or disagree, I think he's been carefully matched against shorter fighters. Let him take that L and come back to reality. Andre Ward, despite his perceived arrogance, I'm a big fan of Ward (not a big fan of his latest years though). Call him boring or dirty or whatever you want, I love the way he fights and I like how he conducts himself outside of the ring. I don't see how you can hate the man. But I want him to lose, because I want to see him travel to opponent territory and TAKE the crown. Note: I don't want him to lose to Berrera or Kovalev. Canelo Alvarez. I became a fan of his when he was fighting for pride and wasn't ducking anyone or making excuses. He took on Trout and Lara, against the advice of his team. But he's received some questionable decisions and scorecards, and now he's become a diva. Someone needs to bring him back to Earth, and I want Golovkin to do it. Hopefully, if Canelo loses convincingly, he throws that 155 business out the window. I'll add more as they come to mind.
Broner I openly dislike his arrogance and behavior in and out of the ring, every time he loses it's satisfying to watch
hell no I misread the thread title if there's someone I'd like to see lose and whom I'm a fan of, it would be Kovalev, because he's one mean fukker, but what happens when he meets an even meaner ******* than himself? :think
I don't really know, maybe Rigo, I just have a feeling dude's heart either isn't in it or won't be in it soon, is getting up there with age now and barely fights (and mostly nobody good). So I wouldn't mind seeing him lose to some young guy who can boost his career greatly defeating him.
