Well, he abondoned it later on more and more from what I´ve read. You could make an argument that this style was pretty new and rare among heavyweights and his opponents weren´t used somebody using a crouch. So, it may have been an advantage in the beginning but then his opponents adjusted to to his style, it even may have been a liability given his size.

Well if your doing it on how many 'tall' opponents fighters beat. Well perez cant compete with Tyson cant he, unless you get some 6'3 Flyweights.

Also Qawi is an excellant answer

One of the guys I had in mind. He wrecked Choynski, and I've heard of him KO'ing guys over 6 feet.

Dwight Muhammad Qawi sprung to mind when i saw the thread. He could he really get under punches with that bob and weave style.

Qwai. But here's the thing. In order to turn a diminutive stature and take advantage of it, you need good defensive slip and duck type of style. You need to be able to box and move by bending your knees, or over at the waist. You need to be a good in-fighter. And you need to be extra strong in the chin and heart department.

If your short and lack most of the above, you won't have any advantage.

I'm not short, so I don't have to worry about it.
