    Silva vs Belfort

Not sure how Vitor earnt this shot but everyone knows how dangerous he is I'm the first round, however the first round saw Silva land a brutal front kick straight to the face knocking Belfort out.

    Brutal.

    Silva vs Okami

Silva had a chance to avenge his most recent defeat by DQ here.

It was quite apparent that this was a mismatch as Silva dominate him with his fast strikes before ultimately stopping him with a jab.

    Sonnen vs Stann.

Chael is a tank on his PEDS. He picks Stann up, slams him into side and chokes him out before calling for a rematch with Silva.

    Belfort vs Akiyama

Vitor shows exactly how dangerous he can be in the opening round as he land a big shot and finishes with a brutal g&p.

    Leben vs Silva

Leben catches lightning in a bottle here. Silva was pushing Leben back behind a big flurry and Leben closed his eyes and swung for the fences, catching Solva just behind his temple, as Silva staggers forward Leben seizes his opportunity spamming the uppercut until Silva drops.

    Huge upset.

    Silva vs Le.

Wanderlei wanted to prove the Leben loss was a fluke and that he isn't finished, so he gets matched tough against Cung Le, but dominates punishing him until the ref calls it off.

    GSP vs Shields

Here GSP proves just how great he is with his superior striking keeping Shields at bay as he shuts him down over 5 rounds proving without doubt he is the best WW ever.

    Condit vs Kim

Carlos Condit lands a flying knee to give Kim his first UFC loss.

Due to Diaz repeatedly failing to show up at the press conferences he loses his shot at GSP and his loss is Condits gain.

    Diaz vs Penn.

Penn gets the better if the grappling but isn't able to get a submission going. The second starts with Diaz controlling the stand up gain behind his big size advantage.

Diaz really punishes Penn walking him down landing those big combinations to the body and face.

Nick has great ground defence but poor stand up defence and this fight becomes more of a war than it should because Diaz blocks with his chin.
This WW era with GSP, Shields, Condit and Diaz is probably the best there ever will be.

GSP has beaten 1 of those 3 so far.

    Edgar vs Maynard 2.

Frankie is trying to prove he's the best LW of all time and with wins over Penn and Sherk you can understand his claims.

However he was beaten before his title run by Gray Maynard and he wanted a chance to right that wrong.

Round 1 was dominated the Maynard as he came close to stopping Edgar a couple of times. Round 2 showed Edgar gain control behind exceptional striking. The fight features a lot of back and forth which ultimately got ruled a draw leaving a rubber match required to show supremacy.

    Edgar vs Maynard 3.

This time the fight starts the same way again with Maynard landing huge shots on Edgar early on looking for a finish. Maynard really batters Edgar breaking his nose and leaving him a bloody mess.

But Edgar survives the early scare again coming out strong in the second behind his striking and movement.

Again we see a lot of back and forth but I'm the 4th Edgar lands a big uppercut and dives on Maynard unleashing a bug volley of shots until the ref stops the fight.

Is Edgar the best LW ever? Still not a patch on prime Penn for me but he's a very clear second now.

    Henderson vs Guida

Henderson gets a very close decision here that easily could have gone the other way.

    Aldo vs Hominick

José controls this with quick accurate strikes from range to further underline his status as the best FW of all time.

Fantastic fight & trilogy. Real little brother/big brother stuff, IMHO.
