What fights would you like to see Ricky Hatton take before he reties?

Definetly not Witter now. I do think that a fight with Mayweather would just add to the embarrassment of the last fight so that goes out of the window. A fight against Pac sounds ok but Pac is not the force he used to be and at 140 I can not see him having a chance. That leaves Maligfaggi which is a below average fight, Kotelnik in a who cares fight and Bradley which I guess looks ok but still will not give Hatton the dollars he wants. I f wants to retire on a few gimme's he should stay and pick up wins against faded duds at 140 but if he wants to show he has anything left then he needs to move back to welter.

I want to see him fight Pacquiao and Mayweather again. And if he wants to, finish with Cotto.:bbbPerfecto.

I think the Mayweather fight could happen due to the money involved but I fear for Hatton. Cotto would stop him in under 6, ki9nda like the Gomez fight.

I don't know what his fight plan would be for a Mayweather rematch, put it all out there again and risk another KO, or fight with more care and settle for a distance loss - I call that "doing a Witter" btw. I can't see Hatton going into a fight accepting a defeat personally.

So now people don't want Hatton to clean up the 140 division?

They want him to move to 147 or fight Pac?

You Hatton haters are something else. "Oooh, he has to fight the best at 140, he has to, he's a coward if he doesn't".......Witter proves he was a hypejob "What's the point of beating the best at 140, he should fight Pac or move to WW"

Nah. The way I saw it was that him and Witter were the best at 140 but now Witter is out of contention with lasts night's loss. I wanted to see a big domestic clash that had been building up for years.

I think Hatton will fight Maligfaggi next, that fight seems set to go but I can not see Maligfaggi been good enough to beat Hatton.

The other guys at 140 are still decent but Hatton has already done his ground work beating the 140 contenders, he now needs the big fights. Those big fights can not be found at 140.

I just hope he has a fight plan next time instead of walking slowly towards PBF while getting punched. The most disapointing thing about that fight is that it went the exact way all the American's said it would. I really expected Hatton to cause PBF problems but jeez he got done over. I think even Brussels gave him an harder fight.

I completely agree with you, I never thought Hatton should have concentrated on 140 even with Witter there though.

If he does beat the #1 contender at 140 in Paulie then his job's done there, there's nothing else for him.

I think he should fight Pac, time would be kind on that win, I think he'd get a lot of credit a few years down the line.

    And then fight Mayweather again.

46 - 2. Two weight champion. Fought the P4P#1 twice, beat the P4P#2 and P4P#3. Beat the two best guys at 140 at the time in Castillo and Paulie.

    Not bad, not bad.

Well the judges didn't agree and certainly the HBO score card had Hatton up early and it was about even upto round 8 as far as I remember...

I think the fact he got knocked out in the 10th, people think he was never in the fight, never won a round, never landed a shot. It wasn't really like that. And I think he'd handle things better next time, for a start he got WAY too pumped at the weigh in and burnt up energy, before the fight he was as nervous as I've ever seen him by a mile and in the fight he got pissed at the ref and started to walk forward with no defence to try and get something done... He'll be used to the occasion in a rematch and I think he might handle things better.

Yep. I can see Hatton beating Maligfaggi and then Pac setting up a rematch with Mayweather.

I will be very interested in Hatton's performance against Paulie in comparison to Cotto. I can see him getting alot of respect from that fight if he put's in a comanding performance.

It would be a shame if he never gets to win over the American public with his talent. He needs to get rid of this hugging style and revert to his all action way's, thats if he can.

A fight with Pac does tick all the right boxes and I will admit to being excited at the prospect. A win here would be a big push for a rematch with PBF or a fight with Cotto. I think Hatton's size makes him a clear favorite but still a great name fight.

Like Calzaghe I think he has paid his dues and now deserves the money fights. I am still disapointed in Lazcano even if it is good business getting a gimme fight.

He forced the fight but little else. He won rounds through Mayweathers lack of attack. Hatton said he was not going tojust attack in straight lines but that is all he did. In a rematch I would hope he would attack like he said he would but I think he needs a move away from Billy Graham to stand a chance. Billy looked like he was shitting himself during the build up.

Hatton has fought some very big occaision fight so I do not think that was a huge problem for him but I did think Mayweather owned him mentally.

Mayweather got to him for sure, it was all about he couldn't let himself lose to a guy like Floyd. He got emotional and in the fight he got pissed off.

Mayweather definetly got to me in the build up. Jeez I hate that guy. I had them even after 8 rounds I think or maybe one behind. I know I thought he needed a KO after he got deducted the point, that was his downfall. Hatton forced the fight but did not do anything that he daid he would or actually needed to do to win the fight. He fought like a tough but limited fighter and we all know he can do better.

Maybe if the fight can be arranged in Britain then Hatton has a chance.

If ever there was a guy to go back to the all action style against, it's Malignaggi.

His old style may have left him more open, but that's hardly a risk against feather fisted Paulie. I think he can afford to be more gung ho against him and put on a show, rather than spoiling his opponents and his own work.

Ricky's got a new trainer, seems to be working on Ricky's offence a bit more and putting his punches together, rather than clambering on his opponent, hopefully he'll look good against Lazcano and Paulie.
