:patsch So if Hatton looks out of sort against Lazcano and drops a split decision I presume you will label him a hypejob.

That's the difference between a top P4P fighter and a hypejob, Hatton won't drop a decision to Lazcano.

Yea, Paulie in madison sq gdns, Pac (at 135 if hatton could make it (doubt it though), and pac picks up a belt, Hatton 3 div champ), Cotto (at 140 or catch weight), Mayweather rematch.

I think Floyd beats Ricky every time, but I would like to see him get the chance to try and avenge his defeat. He can fight better then he did last time, and it's not totally impossible (but unlikely) that Floyd might fight at 140 to make the fight more interesting and sell.

Lazcano, Malignaggi, Torres, Bradley(or should Bradley be beaten his conquerer) , D-Hop and finally one of Juan Diaz/Pacquiao or Khan to finish off his career .

That would give him a good legacy at 140 and still bring him plenty of money .

In otherwords, I'd like to see him unify the division. I've no interest in seeing him whooped by Mayweather again, or destroyed by Cotto. Nor am I interested in Pacquiao being overmatched, although it could make a nice farewell fight.

malignaggi, torres, pac,fm 2 would be a decent finish with maybe 1 last farewell fight in England after mayweayther i cant see hatton wanting to finish on a loss (maybe Bradley just to rub witters face in it - even if down the line TM isnt anything special). Pac weighed 140 against JMM so its a realisitic fight especially with the £££ involved.

Malignaggi, Torres, Kotelnik, Bradley - while i agree that cleaning out 140 would be good, i think hatton wants a few name fights and Pacman would bring that, every fighter fights guys moving up at somepoint so i think pacman will happen at some stage

I would love him to fight Khan.

If Hatton does actually unify the division, he would have a solid enough set of wins at the weight that he could be in contention when you talk about all-time greats at 140

Tszyu aside there would be nothing to shout from the rooftops about in ATG terms, but a fairly deep resume of B+ fighters

If he gets whooped by Mayweather again, and wastes time fighting Pac he'll fall short of greatness

"and wastes time fighting Pac he'll fall short of greatness" - why is it a waste of time to fight pac?? 1 of Hopkins best wins is Oscar. So why would hatton get any stick for facing pacman?

I agree with all your post bar the Pac bit.... If he beats 'the great Manny Pacquiou' he's got another 'great' name on his resume. It all depends on how impressive pac is at lightweight.

He wouldn't get any stick, it just wouldn't have any relevance in terms of him being a great at 140 to beat up a guy that was in his prime at featherweight

Luckily, I highly doubt Pacquiao will even get to that stage. I don't see him beating anybody other than David Diaz at lightweight, so unless he calls it a day there he'll lose and the fight will be off.
