I'll agree with the previous comment about Mannys lack of thought in the ring,he seems to try and adapt his style for different fights, but reverts back to the same style of fighting after a few rounds. He also has the habit of fighting fire with fire i.e when he's in trouble he tries to return fire rather than covering up,clinching or moving out of range.I'm not green enough to be taken in by the hype surrounding the win over DLH, but Manny did seem to keep his discipline in that fight, and was much more controlled in everything he did, maybe that was more to do with the step up in weight and knowing the bigger man may do more damage than his usual opponents.I do think he'll have too much for Ricky to handle, but i hope i'm wrong.Tszyu was a devastating puncher and i gave Ricky little chance in that fight, but Ricky was able to make Tszyu fight his fight, maybe he'll do the same against Manny.:good
he cannot fight while his under pressure on the ropes freddie knows this which is why he kept telling many not to go on the ropes. Also he is often of balance and is wide open on occassions but then again same thing can be said about hatton but i believe hatton is abit more controlled and less trigger happy
^ I have a funny feeling that the fight will end up on the ropes and Im not sure if Manny will be able to combat that. In the middle of the ring its obviously in Manny's favor but I have a feeling that Hatton will end up getting the fight he wants.
Pac will get off first. Something most fighters are unable to do against Hatton. It will completely throw Hatton off.
Throw him off initially, or throw him off completely? For some reason, Im thinking Floyd Sr and Ricky are banking on the mid to late rds.
I'm definitely insane :deal ... but seriously, the best weapon of PAC are his offensive skills: speed and punch. PAC does not like to be pressed so if Hatton will go to war PAC chin will be his first flaw and his last one. Common ... its not like PAC wasn't KOed before or floored. Hatton have much more power than anyone PAC fought so far including faded DLH, Barrera, Morales or Marquez.
Because we know he isnt a god or immortal like some Pac haters think. And unlike some other fans and huggers who think their fighter is god... I.E. Amsterdumb for Mijares.
He doesn't move his head too much and his offense is his defense. Although if you compare him now from his first Juan Marquez fight to now. He has improved a lot. I think he is fairly predictable but he is so much faster/harder puncher than anyone he fights that it doesnt matter that he isn't the most technical
I agree with you. Pac is a brawler with many flaws. I think PAC is one of the only fighters that can get away with his flaws because of his speed, power, and chin.
He sometimes leaps when throwing punches. Dangerous thing to do against a solid counterpuncher who keeps his feet under him.
His lack of ability to adjust is his biggest in my opinion. It will be huge in this fight coming up. I think if Ricky can make it a dirty fight roughing him up mauling him and throwing Pac off his game. Pac will look lost and won't be able to adjust like PBF was able to do.
