Of course it's a duck. But when someone ducks the best case scenario is they leave the division.

Frampton and the wee fella never wanted anything to do with Rigo.

So it's unacceptable for Frampton to turn down a fight due to not getting enough of a financial reward but it's ok for Rigo to duck loma for the same reason.

 Rigo ducked Loma? Rigo offered loma a fight at 124 with a 10 pound re-hydration clause. Loma didn't accept for obvious reasons, because he'd be drained, Rigo doesn't re-hydrate past 126 pounds. Does Loma want a 15 pound+ advantage against Rigo? I thought the Loma fanboys cry about how Salido had like a 10+ pound advantage on fight night. Oh, and Frampton dropped 2 belts to avoid Rigo in his own DIVISION. If you think these situations are comparable you're re****ed. Frampton is ducking the smaller man, Rigo doesn't want to fight Loma with Loma having a huge weight advantage.

“We would insist on a rehydration clause of 135 pounds for fight night,” said Hyde. “If Klimas agrees to this, then we have a fight. Lomachenko is a masterful fighter like Rigo and this match- up will be a classic. We have a pair of two-time Olympic gold medalists and current world champions going at it. I believe Rigo is the more ferocious of the two fighters and I firmly believe he will dominate Lomachenko. Klimas, you know what you must do to make the fight, just pick up the phone and call me. Rigo is ready!”

It is unacceptable. Frampton was a title holder in the same division. Thankfully he did the right thing after ducking ad left the division altogether.

Rigo and Loma are not in the same division so no duck. Like Golovkin and Ward. Well you could call it a duck but it's the most defensible duck in my eyes.

It's not comparable to Ward/Golovkin. Rigo didn't try to make 126 fights when Loma wanted the fight. Golovkin tried to make fights with Froch/Bum Jr, and his teams made claims of 154-175. Also Rigo re-hydrates to 126, so asking for a 10 pound re-hydration clause is perfectly reasonable. Rigo is a tiny 122 pounder and really is more of a natural 118 ppunder, every opponent he's fought at that weight has had a size advantage, this is like if Golovkin fought at 168, and Ward tried to fight him at like a 172 catchweight.

I dont think Golovkin ducked Ward either though, but him turning down Ward deserves far more **** than Rigo/Loma not being able to work out a deal.

I called this sort of comment out on a thread over in the British section, I don't agree with this.

Frampton got £500k for fighting LSC... That is pocket change compared to what he would get if he stepped up and fought Rigo in Belfast.

People talk about Rigo as if he is this boring, unknown to the casuals fighter. Everyone in Britain who has followed Frampton's career, even the biggest of casuals know who Rigo is and know that Frampton and Quigg have been avoiding him. He has been mentioned in every single one of their post fight interviews for the last 18 months and gains considerable airtime by being mentioned by the likes of iFL TV etc.

As for boring, his first and only outing in the UK last month, he stopped his opponent in the second round and broke his jaw!

Face it, using "it doesn't make business sense" to fight Rigo isn't going to fly anymore. all these fighters around the FW division need to put up, or shut up.

Frampton deserved **** for vacating his belt and ducking rigo months ago, but now Rigo has to move up to FW, or move on. Frampton is the 126 champion now, it's funny how people are ****ting on him now, but weren't saying much when he vacated, the time to give him **** has passed.

Yeah he's a big fat juicy mallard. At least he has the decency to straight up say it rather than wasting the man's time, though.

Who has tho? Doniare was the only person and he was an overwhelming favourite going into the fight, no one had seen what Rigo had to offer in the pros game before that fight

It hasn't, because he's basically saying even if Rigo moves to 126 he still won't fight him.

I agree this duck has been ongoing for years though.

It's a duck, no question about it. Was first time around and it is this time around.

What is leo's fight night weight?

He might be taller but weight wise I think Lomachenko is bigger.
