Why do you say he would earn much more than £500k fighting Rigo in Belfast? Didn't Frampton get a guaranteed £1.5 mil vs Quigg? No way a Rigo fight earns him that much.

Guys not fighting each other because one has a boring style or doesn't bring in the big payday is just nonsense! These guys are proven to be the top in their division and there is no good reason why a fight can't be made!

There wasn't enough money in it for his medical bills, is what he meant.

Two men in different divisions is the best kind of duck.

Money is the #1 reason why fights get made or do you think fighters like getting punched for free.

Frampton- "Rigo is a great fighter. However, I'm 29 and looking after my family." In other words Frampton wants to bring financial security to his family and Rigondeaux doesn`t bring enough money to the table, simple economics. :hi:

I don't care if the fight would be boring, I thought as fans we want to see the best fight the best?

I think everyone understands the logic, but no one agrees with it.

Very easy for people to expect fighters to take fights regardless of the money when it's not them taking the punches.

Exactly. Frampton was taking a risk by fighting Santa Cruz and vice versa but the financial rewards meant both fighters were happy to do so. A sporting career is very short and you are a long time retired. Guys want to make as much as they can.

Exactly. When a fighter duck an opponent when his been offered an amazing payday that's something else but until Rigo's team can put up the money its just unfair to say Frampton is ducking.

rigo last two fights resulted in a pumpkin head and a broken jaw. Framptons face cannot afford big drama show and framptons pockets cannot afford the healing time.

Whilst this is true I'm a fan of the sport not the bank balance of those who partake.

I just wanna see the best fight the best.
