In order for Khan to win against Canelo, what gameplan should Amir Khan should use against Canelo to be most successful?

If you were in Khan's corner, what would you say to him?

Should he use a Floyd Mayweather gameplan? Fight on the outside and try to outbox Canelo?

Should he go all in and brawl with Canelo like Maidana did to Floyd?

Something tells me the only way for Khan to win this fight is to use his speed and outpoint Canelo, outbox him. I don't see Khan trying to brawl with Canelo since Canelo has way more power. Khan's chin is also not strong enough to brawl with Canelo.

I say he should stick to his strengths.

Jab. Run. Short combos, and hope Canelo is feeling a little lazy on the night.

None, because he can't execute one due to his limited skillset.

    a) Poison.
    b) Clone himself, but with a few tweaks in the DNA. You know, for an iron jaw.
    c) Baseball bat?
d)Glass him before the fight, make Canelo withdraw due to injuries and call it a moral victory

Loads of movement, make Canelo chase him, don't do what Khan has done all too often and be the one that instigates every time, that's too predictable.

Make Canelo miss and be the one to counter then get out or clinch to prevent being countered.

Pot shot, don't throw crazy multiple shot combinations that we give Canelo the chance to counter.

Mix up the shots, don't just lead with the jab like he often does, throw in a right lead, work the body as well to slow Canelo down.

If hurt don't be too proud to take a knee or look to survive, leave your pride in the dressing room, it will get you KO'ed.

I think under Hill he's shown some knew skills. He's learned to counter, to use the right lead, to clinch when out of position. Problem is he threw out everything he learned in his last fight and fought like his old self against Algieri. You can teach Khan all the skills he needs but there is no guarantee he'll utilise it because he is one of the dumbest world class fighters out there.

Floyd didn't just fight Canelo on the outside. He fought him in the pocket.

Clinching Canelo won't work, because Canelo is too big and strong for him.

Try to stay on his back foot , pop off s shots and circle, rinse and repeat..If Canelo gets it tie him up

Khans downfall is his defense is terrible and his chin isnt solid. He will outbox Canelo early but when he gets caught and he will get caught it'll be all downhill from there

As others have said, stick, move, turn him, lots of lateral movement. The trick with Khan is he wants to get even when you clock him, he loses the game plan. If he can avoid that he may survive to lose a ud. If he gets drawn in like he seems to do, he will be ko'd. I don't think he can win a decision against Canelo. I mean he could, its just that I think the scorecards are already filled out for this fight. He is a powerful promotional companies golden boy so you know the wheels have been greased so to speak. The old saying, " he will need a KO just to get a draw" comes to mind.

Keep the fight in the middle of the ring and stay off the ropes. Canelo is only dangerous when he has people up against the ropes. Khan should also go to the body to weaken Canelo in the later rounds. That said he would have to drop Canelo and put on a clinic to even have a chance at getting a decision over Canelo.
