Just forgot about the Canelo fight. It's not happening...he's too much of a ***** to take the fight. So he should just get the belt Canelo will drop to him and then go on and beat Hopkins record. Then move up to 168 where fighters will be more willing to fight him. He'll never get a big fight below 168 because they are all unwilling to fight him. I'd bet guys like Degale or Andre Dirrell wouldn't be afraid to fight him

How many fights would it take to beat Hopkins' record?

Honestly its stupid as they are going by his WBA wins, but he was reular champ for a lot of those while Sturm was super champ

No, 168 is a wasteland, he should stay at 160.
DeGale fight is possible and is the only one worth to make at 168.

He needs to force Canelo to drop the belt or fight him. Then he needs to clean the floor with the other 160 "champs" and cherry pick the occasional big bucks 168 fight. At least, that's what I would do.

Seriously, other than DeGale what fight is there at 168?

People are acting like 168 still has Kessler, Froch, Calzaghe and Ward or something. It doesn't. Going to 168 would net no big fights other than DeGale , nor any additional legacy or anything.

Instead of saying 168, should just say should fight DeGale. Because he should fight DeGale just because it would be an interesting fight. Otherwise, theres nothing. At least at 160 theres a chance for some decent 154s to move up and some decent prospects.

Becoming a 2 weight champ and clearing out 2 divisions adds to your legacy. It's better than just doing it in one division.

GGG is too good and too old to be waiting around to fight prospects who probably won't be risked against him anyway. If guys at 160 are avoiding him it's unlikely that guys from 154 will want to move up and fight him. GGG is too good for 160, all his fights there are uncompetitive mismatches. People want to see competitive fights.

Forget Mayweather it took him 6 or 7 years to build up the courage to face Pacquiou imagine how long it would take to get him to face GGG. Yeah he has name dropped GGG a few times lately but Floyd talks too much it means nothing.

At 160 we have the more named fighters compared to 168 but none of these fights are a challenge. He beats them all and everybody knows it. Id rather he moved up to face some bigger more competitive fights but with lesser known names. Its not just about the MONEY to every fighter, usually just Americans.

I don't rate Sturm superchamp reign at all he paid a lot money to the WBA and bought the superbelt.

Golovkin was Sturm's mandatory in 2011 and Sturm ducked him.
In March 2010 Sturm made a declaration of an oath at the regional court of Hamburg that he would rather drop the belt than fighting Golovkin
