What gift decisions did De La Hoya and Sugar Ray Leonard get?

Sturm won 9 rounds out of that fight mate, DLH won 7 rounds roughly against Trinidad, there's a bit of a difference in subjectivity there. I personally have scored DLH-Trinidad a draw, then a close win for DLH in two different occassions. DLH should have gotten the win, or it should have been a draw, but the media makes out like he swept rounds 1-8, that's utter horse****, I had Trinidad taking 1 or 2 of the early rounds before DLH started seriously outboxing him.

Then he ran 4 rounds and gave them away. Sturm outboxed him plain and simple, either 116-112 or 117-111 Sturm, there was not enough subjectivity in there to give that to DLH, thus it is a robbery.

Trinidad-DLH wasn't a great decision, but enough subjectivity could be placed in to defend it, as it was razor close, something DLH, HBO and the media made out like that wasn't the case.

 

I'm not going to defend Leonard, I was just posting my opinion on the fight, Hagler just didn't do enough to win, problems with preparation most likely, he should have steamrolled him.

Leonard is a top ATG, faults entertained. DLH is not close to that, but his fans make out that it's the case.

 

It looked like he was more interested in making DLH look like a chump than in winning. DLH was given the fight because I think judjes were sick of Whitaker's antics, grabbing DLH by the waist and spinning him being the one that pissed me off. Whitaker was being a ***** but had he took the fight seriously he would have won.

 

I had Oscar winning over Ike and Pea but lost narrowly to a much bigger Sturm.

 

I scored it for him anyway. Bad antics and clowning don't take away from cleaner work and winning rounds.

 

Narrowly? That was pretty clear for Sturm, best you can do for DLH is 4 rounds. That isn't narrow.

He lost(my card) to Pea narrowly and to Quartey narrowly.

 

Pea was a slick little *******. Oscar was unable to catch him clean.Frustrating tough fight!

 

I bet if you were an offical judge at all of Oscar's fight you'd have him losing all his fight:rasta

 

He was frustrating for opponents and viewers alike. Felt so nice to see the clowning stop the night Whitaker met Tito. Not being a hater but if you act a clown people are waiting to see the end of your days.

 

Searching is down on the site right now, so I can't pull up any of my old posts on this but...some of the numbers from Compubox are...

Felix Sturm landed 234 of his punches whereas Oscar de la Hoya only landed 188 times. STURM landed 43% of his punches whereas DLH only landed 24%.

Rounds 3, 10 and 12 were scored in favor of DLH.

But in all 3 Sturm landed more punches on a higher rate. At times Sturm landed more than half of the punches he threw.
While DLH was sometimes missing five punches before landing one.

In the last 2 rounds, DLH was unable to land one jab (while officially winning the twelfth).

I gave him a draw on the 2nd Mosely fight. I score fights as I see them.

I gave him 5 rounds against Mayweather.

He gets credit where it's deserved and no credit when it's not.
