Hi, i've been training for about two weeks now and I'm loving the sport so I think it's time to buy some decent gloves.

I've been looking around and haven't found much apart from these http://www.blitzsport.com/Firepower-Leather-Boxing-Gloves?sc=10&category=8

The Firepower range from Blitz. Are they a good brand, decent pair of gloves?

Any help would be appreciated, I'm willing to spend at most £50.

For training and hitting the heavy bag I had a pair of Ringside (18 oz I think) velcro strap training gloves that have lasted for like 7 years. they are a little heavy and hard for sparring but they sure lasted no matter how many times I hit the heavy bag, my other gloves wore out in a fraction of the time. I think I paid about $110 US for them back in 2003.

You can see them pretty good in this vid fastforward to 28 sec, the first part is too bright.
