What going on with B-Hop?

    Bernard has been inactive since ladt October. After securing a memorable victory over Pavlik, where-by momentum was created, he should have fought by now!

    Bernard is no fool - he knows at his age (44) its not wise to be inactive for long spells. I accept he may have tired to secure bouts & they have not materialised, but something needs to happen & pronto!

    I would hate to see Bernard now lose after beating Pavlik, a fight in which he was written off!

    Don't know why, but despite Hopkins being a smart guy, I reckon he will box on a for a bit yet!

    i think he'll go on for a bit too

    and ive also been wondering why no fight

    6 of the best SMs are now tied up so its not getting any easier to find opponents

    Sakio Bikas been quiet too - would love to see that clash (of heads no doubt)

    He wanted a fight for the cruiser title this summer but lowballed adamek and only offered him 500k so the fight didnt get made.

    He made a statement that he is retiring for good, which really there isnt much left for him to prove so if he aint going for the cruiserweight title I think he should retire.

    not alot of opponents i say perhaps consider a farewell bout against one of these slouch heavyweights (Valuev) hopkins has more ring smarts than 90% of these heavyweights.

    Hopkins was on ESPN talking with Brian Kenny a few days ago.

    He said that he offered Adamek 1.2 million. Hopkins said that this wasn't a bad offer because Adamek only got 300K for his fight with Bobby Gunn.

    Is there any truth to this? Any Adamek fans know about these numbers?

    Proves nothing though a bit like Jones Jr's HW reign , and a tad pharsical if you ask me !!!!!!!

    I never heard that, the last I heard was 500k which I thought was a low ball but 1.2 million, adamek should have taken it if that was true.

    Well, 1.2 million came from Hopkin's mouth. I doubt he's lying. If he is, damm, what a liar. :lol:

    But he said that 1.2 million was the offer Schaeffer and GBP was offering and it was either a take it or leave it offer. Non-negotiable. If true, i guess Adamek didn't take it.

    Maybe there was a serious leak (of $700K) between Hopkins' mouth and Admakes ears.
    The question is where the leak was going in?

    Bernard really wanted a Calzaghe rematch BAD!!!! But Ol Slappy Joe knew he got a gift dec over a sup par Hopkins first time. If Slappy rematched a 100 % fit Nard even in Wales he knew his 0 was gone
