Squats, wall-sits (Lean on a wall with your legs parallel and stay there as long as you can)

    Body weight squat
    One legged squat
Lunges (most effective with weights though..)
    Knee tuck
    Ankle hop
    Squat jumps
    Wall-Sits
    Glute-Ham Raise
    Reverse Hyperextension
    Medicine Ball Squat
    Medicine Ball Squat Jump
    Medicine Ball Squat Throw
    Resistance Band Squat
    Resistance Band Leg Press
    Isometric Leg press
Farmers Walk (uses weights though... )

Sets and reps all depend on you and your specific fitness goals dude.

Depending on how strong your quads/hammys are some core excercises use these muscles and assist in building strength (Reverse situps, Reverse crunches on crunch machine, bicycle crunches etc..)..

Just curious why no weights? Resistance is resistance after all..

Bicycle sit ups really help for me. Its the muscles just on the outside of the thigh that really get a work out.

    Your post is ridiculous. :patsch

When you do a squat, your lifting a weight- your body....

Also why are you conditioning your legs for a twelve round fight? How can anyone answer that question without knowing how you intend to box or what weight you are etc.

When announcers say that a fighter loses his legs it's generally not his legs that have given out on him, that's just an expression. It's his heart and lungs. It's a combination of muscle fatigue, hits to the head, and mostly being tired/out of breath. The "lost his legs" expression comes from a general lethargy to any movement in this state.

So to improve in that aspect..cardio. Long distance runs. I don't give a damn what anyone says, a 12 round fight is aerobic. Aside from the longer slower distance stuff, the shorter stuff like jumping rope and resting, hitting the bag and resting will also help your recovery when you actually do get tired.

Also the running tones your calves quite nicely, sometimes it burns the thighs too.

If you just want bigger calves, try a stair-stepper, if you don't feel it there try actual stairs.

    You're fighting 12 round fights???
Put some weight on your back and do some squats you fool.
Then join a boxing gym and work on getting an amateur bout.
