What good is being the aggressor if your not really landing the punches???

    What good is being is being the aggressor if your not really landing punches???

    Not much good at all.

    On the other hand if you ARE landing the punches and have the other guy on the run, it means that you are winning the fight.

    that's what happened in many Floyd's fights indeed
    If you do land more punches though, it's a very good thing being the agressor. effective aggression

    It's worth something. If the other guy isn't landing any more than you are and you're being aggressive you'll probably get the nod on a card for that round. Being aggressive and inept is better than being non-aggressive and inept, is what i'm saying.

    This holds true for two guys landing in the same neighbourhood (with approximately the same damage) in any given round.

    I just rewatched the fight and it kinda reminded me of Hagler Leonard. Up until recently I always felt Hagar won. I guess cause he was the aggressor but Leonard landed the more cleaner shots and combinations. So with the GGG Canelo fight it pretty much was the same thing. If you give GGG the benefit of the doubt because he was the champ. I don't think you can really be mad at a draw.

    He gave a good illusion that he was fighting but he didn't fool me one bit. Guy was just doing enough for self preservation and nothing more. He didn't come to fight. He came to just survive and hope the judges save him.

    That was a disputed decision, but one of the many differences between that fight and this one was that Leonard actually landed more punches and at a much higher percentage. Not the case here. If you are backing up and looking to avoid combat more than initiate it, you had better at least land more punches than the other guy if you expect to win. That's how I see it.

    Too many Magpies on here attracted to the flashy shots of Canelo, it was real flashy, very impressive but too few and far between and it never really stopped Golovkin doing what he was doing.

    Well it sure makes the other guy feel like, WTF can I do to make this guy stop pressuring me for one thing.

    There are guys making batches of alts at a time and leaving them to mature. A few months ago there were a bunch of new posters around making comments like "." and "yes" and "agree" on threads and then vanishing after 3-4 posts. In a few years the usual OCD guys will unveil them as their other accounts slowly get banned one by one because of being giant peni.
