Tyson vs Spinks.... Stayed up untill 4 in the morning (I live in Europe) and it only took Tyson 1.30 minutes to finish Spinks, but I was sold.
i used to sit with my old man watching barry mcguigan back in the day. i guess thats when it started. but really got in to it watching eubank and benn beat the **** out of each other. ****ing loved it.
8 years old, staying up mega late at the time with my dad watching Benn Mcclellan, i was awe-struck how someone could be knocked through the ropes in round one, expecting it to all be over, for that same guy to then come back and punish the other guy, loved boxing ever since
Growing up during the Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Norton era. The first fight between Ali/Frazier was huge in it's day and made a great impression on me as a small boy. Been a fight fan ever since!
My Dad...Fought pro (along with many of his brothers) back in the late 20's & early 30's, out of Elizabeth, NJ, which really was a hub of boxing back then. This content is protected He showed me the ropes when I was a kid, would watch Dick Tiger on Gillette Friday Night Fights (late 50's/early 60's) & thats the story. I've seen them all, through 5 decades now. What a trip its been!:bbb
Just living in vegas, this town is in pandemonium the week of a big fight, and going to fights with my dad.
watchin fights with my dad i wanted to be sugar ray leonard when i was kid and i would go to school and start fights so my dad started me in amatuer fighting
graciano rocchigiani getting robbed in every fight are my first memories. also schulz' controversial fights against foreman, botha... then i didn't care too much for boxing for quite some years, except for klitschko fights. one time an undercard bout of a klitschko fight also got broadcasted here. it was cotto/torres. that got me back into boxing.
