I give him an F for failure as his notable wins all likely came while he was on the juice so should correctly be changed to an NC.
A or A+ considering he fought from middleweight to heavyweight. Holyfield and John Ruiz weren't the best heavyweights in the world when he fought them, but they were still about a foot taller than Toney, former champions, and that's impressive.
I gotta go with An A or B +, beat pretty much all the legit competition of his time-outside of a couple reasonable fighters
- Mc Callum was 34 in the I fight and 35 in the 2nd which was not 5 but only one year later. Mc Callum was the current WBA champion and had only 1 loss on his resume at the time. - The Nunn fight was only up around 2 points until the KO.That fight was very comeptitive with Toney grewing stronger and stronger with each round. - Another notable win would be againt former long time light heavy champ prince charles williams. - Even though onlya draw, the Rahman was amn accomplishment for a former middlweight champ Resume: Final Grade A
how quickly people forget. Toney tested positive for steroids. Not a masking agent folks, but actual steroids. How many times did he get away with it? No one knows but we can speculate. Fact of the matter is he is a known cheat and therefore all his victories are now questionable. He gets a big fat F for Fraud F for Failure F. Anyone who takes steroids is at a serious advantage, couple that with the fact that boxing is a dangerous sport and now we have toney playing with other peoples lives. toney should be publicly shamed not applauded.
