So Tarver and Johnson were better than Toney, Hopkins, and Hill? All guys Jones beat handily, all better fighters than the ones he lost to when past his prime. Explain that please.

Read Jimmie's post, that gives you a pretty good breakdown of his opposition.

Its ok I suppose im just stating the obvious facts thats not my opinion what I typed was legitmate fact and people will probablly continue to ignore it and twist it around. I can rip apart any fighters resume even the very best ive ever seen hell even Whitaker. Noboddys resume is completly perfect with all unbeaten current world champs.

That is a good post, a very good post :yep

  8. Even though Roy beat a green Hopkins it wasn't as clean as many would have you believe. Having seen the fight its clear Roy did what he needed to do, even then Hopkins would lunge in & grab/spoil. Roy did best him though but I do ask myself, did Hopkins shoot himself in the foot not rematching Roy after all what did he have to loose and his current resume is always hotley debated.

Roy is a tremendous boxer, the man used to play a full game of basketball before a boxing match that's how physically talented he was but if people tell you his resume is A-Class they're wrong there were many boxers he could have fought but tactfully strayed away from; just because 2 went on to good things that doesn't mean he was this amazing all conquering fighter. People also forget that only now is he romantically remember, in the 90's it was all "Roy ducked x/y/z" chat about him but then again people do love to hate boxers :S

Jones is basically an Enigma. You see him, he amazes you and you KNOW he's that good but you look at his resume and the truth is it doesn't impress (me at least anyway - but that's only because of the talent I think he was). It's a bit of a contradiction I know but that's how I see it.

Lastly every fighter has a Kryptonite and I believe Tarver was that Kryptonite, 'prime' 'weight drained' or not Tarver was always going to be Roy's hardest opponent and though I feel Roy clearly won their 1st fight (closely though) even a little lethargic through the weight loss I think the 2nd fight's knockout NOT the whole weight draining argument ruined the great Roy Jones by destroying his mindset. The mind - more importantly subconciousness - controls the body after all. That KO destroyed him, he was never the same after that; watch the Johnson fight - he was afraid to attack.

Not to mention both Harding and Woods beat Tarver and Johnson, and Jones beat them before he lost to Tarver and Johnson. So if he lost because he was finally facing "legit" competition, then what does this poster rate the fighters who beat the fighters he calls "legit"?

Name your 3 favorite fighters jackass I will rip there resumes to shreads and not even have to make up one lie. Its just how boxing is your bound to run into a gun coming off a loss,in his late 30s,past his best weight class ETC. See if you had anything resembling brains you would know this but thankyour coke headed brother and sister parents for there night of passion :good

Why don't you name the weak opponents and their credentials? Name the cops, firemen, truck drivers.

Remember, this will all be cross referenced against your claim that Jones finally lost to the first truly good fighters he faced in Tarver and Johnson.

Everytime I have asked, you ignore the question.
