Yes, he ignores the question. And he fails to supply the names of the greats that Roy ducked. Other than DM (who arguably ducked Roy; they avoided each other), I can't remember too many.
Obviously, Jones' crowning achievments in terms of beating great fighters would have to be his two decision victories over Bernard Hopkins and James Toney. Those were two great fighters whom Jones toyed with, more or less. But Jones record is FULL of B-level fighters whom he could humiliate because of his superhuman quickness. Clinton Woods, Julio Gonzalez, John Ruiz, Virgil Hill... the list goes on. And how about his victory over Felix Trinidad?
So hold up Roy dominates a Heavyweight Champ, and 4 future Hall of Famers yet when he fights a couple of solid fighters when hes weight drained those are his toughest fighters even though he beat many guys who already beat them same fighters :huh Ive seen some stupid people but keep going homes you are about to win the award for the stupidest. I bet you have never even been laid before have you ******* ?
Just to echo a little bit, just because Roy made most of the opponents look VERY ordianary, by no means is it the real case.
That post was very pro-Jones and you can easily go down that same list with a negative aproach and make the resume look average!:deal But like someone said, it can be done with just about any resume in the history of boxing.
Young man ive already amounted to more in my 20 years then you every will in your entire life. My mom says having me is the one of the few she doesnt regret because im a real man. Your just a young fat, uneducated man that jerks off to pictures of Roy Jones and wonders why he cant cum :good
Nice try. It is a fully legitimate argument to point out that Harding beat Tarver when both were unbeaten fighters, and thus that makes Harding every bit as legitimate a fighter as Tarver is. Otherwise, what criteria are you using to say that Tarver was the first legitimate opponent that Jones fought? Same goes for Johnson?
ftr, Hopkins was 28 years old when he lost to Roy Jones. Green? He wasnt yet decorated or as recognised as he would be a few of years later, but he was in his physical prime. Some people would have you believe fighters are 'green' at 28 and 'shot' at 29. :yep
What exactly is the problem of having a good relationship with my mother ? Are you upset that yours allowed your uncle to "wrestle" you on the weekends or that she told you to screw off when she was sucking off all your teachers to get you thru grade school ? Its ok just admitt im here to help you honey :good
Won the Middleweight title against Bernard Hopkins. Won the Super Middleweight title against James Toney. Won the Light Heavyweight (interim) title against Mike McCallum. Those guys are all HOFs. He also just beat Trinidad, for whatever that's worth, but he's also a HOFer. Add Ruiz (mainly for the accomplishment and size difference), Hill, Tarver, (Reggie) Johnson, and Griffen - and you got a very good resume. He also defeated a number of tough rugged guys who would later go on to become world champs in the future (Castro, Lucas, Malinga). 6 time world champ across 4 weight classes, and made history by being the first middleweight champion in over a hundred years to move up to heavyweight and win a world title there. A 3-time light-heavyweight world champion, and former undisputed light-heavyweight world champion; all while arguably being a natural super-middleweight (who started at middleweight/light-middleweight). Not to mention one of the most naturally gifted fighters of all time... And a damn fine entertainer to boot. Well, for me, anyway. Roy's legacy is secure. That's for DAMN sure. :deal
