They can't because he beat them all. Roy has a damn good resmue it is just he was so impressive the haters somehow magically think that he was ducking other great fighters of his era just because he made the good and very good fighters look so bad. There was no one else to challenge him that haven't already
****, I don't like Jones very much at all. Trying to pick his resume apart liek this is silly though. he beat 2 greats and lots of good fighters. For me the only cloud over him is a fight with DM didnt come off, and thats not a big cloud.
I've been lurking on the board for a while now and have been very impressed with the range of knowledge that the vast majority of posters display...this ***** however is the exception
Perfectly put. Has anyone mentioned that apart from the bull**** DQ against Griffin, Jones didn't even have a competitive fight until he was 35 years of age? Haters feel free to point out other fighters that could boast that while moving through the divisions like Jones did. Just one fighter will do, thanks :good
:good Not to mention the entertainment factor as well. His ko win over Glen Kelly (hands behind his back), the sneeky kd he scored against James Toney, the combos against Vinny Paz, the body shot he landed against Virgil Hill, I could go on.
this make absolutly no sense. toney signed for the fight and there are no excuse for the loss . bernard was green so was jones genius. it's not like he fought the jones that blew out hill. what you wanted him to get in a time machine or was it becuse he wasn'rn around MOore and Charles? if you know who they are?
Terrible post that makes no sense. Go immediately to the "Rate yourself as an analyst" and vote 0 for yourself. atsch WHat makes this post of your even more stupid would be some of your other posts. You know, the ones where you and other Euro fights cry like babies about your fighters not getting enough credit? Are you aware how many former MW's have successfully moved to HW? Better yet? how many SrpMW's have done that? How many LtHW's have done that? HEll, even fiding good CW's who have made the jump successfully is next to nill. Basically, you're a hypocrite and none to bright. Sorry for the insult, but your post was rather insulting itself.
weight drained Toney .. Don't make me laugh .. making weight and staying in shape is part of being a professional fighter , great fighter find a way to get up for big fight , Roy did it , Toney did not so he lost fair and square ,, so kick rock with that excuse. Hopkins green palease he was just a green as Roy .. Hopkins had more fight then Roy and was the older fighter , Green palease Hopkins style doesn't mesh well with Roys. and you for got to add to the list of beaten fighters , virgil hill , Antonio Tarver , clinton woods, Julio Gonzalez, eric harding , richard hall, Reggie Johnson , montel Griffen, Eric Lucas ,thomas tate, Jorge Castore, lou Del Valle..
Um, no he did not. He did not fight DM and he handpicked the WORST Heavyweight beltholder in the last 25 years at Heavyweight. Jones refused to take any risks took the easy way out every time.
