I don’t see him as being easy for anyone. Lewis and maybe a prime Wladimir might beat him. Ali and Holmes too but Fury’s height and reach would make it hard for them to land. He would be tough

    All of them.
    He's really good.
Not because he stopped Wilder or what he did to Wlad .....but because of something in the way he is : he has very real ability to adapt and do things only incredible boxers would even try.
    He's a maverick.
Combined with such huge size, good speed and immense heart, he's to be taken very seriously against any ATG now.

His ring IQ is one of the best in HW history. Very hard to hit. The only thing is he often fights down to the level of his opposition. For that reason I'd like to see him only in big fights from now on

his size and awkwardness and natural abilities make him tough for anyone. One fighter which might be trouble for him is Mike Tyson. That body Fury being hit by Mike on the inside I could see Fury going down. That style might be trouble. Someone who gets inside and works the body..

I put my vote into the Fury would be a nightmare for anyone crowd.

He has been in there with big punchers and handled them. I can't see any of the much smaller boxers, like Ali and Holmes, out boxing him.

The best chance historically is Lennox Lewis, I think, but Fury is bigger and faster, so I see little reason to favor Lewis.

Ali would be 6" shorter and around 50 to 60 lbs. lighter. It would be like a middle fighting a 200 lb. guy with ability. They don't even let that kind of match go on.

Settle down, a very impressive win for the new champ, Tyson Fury. But remember how the comparisons were made with Andy Ruiz vs the all time greats, one victory, impressive as it was, he was outpointed in the rematch. We will need to see future Tyson Fury fights to make a possible assumption vs the all time greats. Fans in 1959 must have made possible matches for Ingemar Johannson following his destruction of Floyd Patterson in New York. But a year later fans did not imagine any more as Floyd kayoed Ingo in round 6, to recapture the belt. Fury should sign for a unification vs Anthony Joshua before us fans can say he could have beat the greats.

We should not make assumptions on his place in history he may pale in compassion to some greats (Suga Valuev etc) we must first see how a champion overcomes the greatest adversity of time and defeat before he can be considered in there light.

He hasn't fought anyone special Wilder was always a joke in the sport, Wlad was old and they didn't actually fight it was an insomnia cure Fury has so much to prove still.

Personally I pray this era comes to an end much like the forgotten Heavyweights time period and ushers in a golden era with a champion rising from the ashes on the backs of the old names.

We have DDD and the Croat on the rise do we not? Names coming out of the woodwork very interesting prospects all around now, now we wait for the fabled resurgence of heavyweight boxing!

Some just need to hit pause. We had the same thing when Joshua won something impressively. We had the same thing with Wilder multiple times.

Some seem to think Fury is something akin to a 7 foot Muhammad Ali or better. As stated above he beat an aging but still very good Wlad and now thumped the living crap out of Wilder after showing great adversity and outboxing him in their initial encounter. Wilder has however been shown up even as impressive as Fury was. He's a one trick pony (helluva trick tho) and isn't overly durable with stamina deficiencies. With that huge right hand he's had it his own way up until now. People laid back and let him set the pace with next to no pressure on him. At some point he is eventually going to tag you under this scenario. Fury took the fight to him (don't get me wrong, not just anyone could have done it but myriads across history would) and he was a different man.

He's a superb fighter and i think he'd give most any great an awkward night but i am far from ready to be picking him over ATG's in the emotion of the moment. He lacks a big punch and i am only half impressed with his offense even at this point. He's quick and nimble for a giant and has enormous heart. He's also a helluva thinker and has stones like boulders.

At this point i can't see him getting past the likes of Ali, Lewis, Holmes etc.

Lets see how he fares moving forward. I have no problem with heavily considering him for a spot in the top 10 if he beats Joshua and then a few worthy others.

I think the best names will appear in the future as his age advances and it will be too late this or he will prematurely abandon the sport before his time his mental issues are clearly his greatest undoing.

I do hope he conquers the current crop despite what I've said about him in the past...

Yeah i hope he goes great. There's every chance he can clean them out if he stays healthy in all ways.

I've always rated Fury since he beat Wladimir.
I've never rated Joshua as much, (although AJ is improving), and certainly not Wilder.
Fury needs to do more to prove it but his potential and special talent was obvious from when he beat Wlad.

Saturday night didn't teach anything I didn't already know except that somehow he's fully recovered from that terrible 2 1/2 year hiatus of obesity and depression and he's not damaged from it as I feared he might be.

Wilder is a very good puncher and has heart.
