Rosado did it, they fought at 160.

Lara don't want to fight at 160, he wants GGG to lose weight. Why would this make sense? Why does Lara's team never sent an offer and only said "I want to fight GGG" on twitter?

No way GGG steps down for a bum like Lara, who was down against Angulo.

Was Rosado a WORTHY opponent for Quillen after GGG tore his face apart?

    YES, he was.

Gabriel Rosado is something of an enigma in boxing.

Has he won a World Title at ANY weight?

    NO!!!!

That said, just prior to the GGG fight, Gabriel Rosado had just made a very impressive showing on the national stage on NBC FIGHTNIGHT series, as he impressed national audiences in the IBF LMW title eliminator.
Reeling off 7 consecutive Ws, many in dominant fashion and against well known B level fighters, Rosado carries with him a LARGE fan-base in the New York/Philly/NJ area, and HBO, K2 and Main Events, were all happy to give Rosado a MUCH deserved payday vs GGG.

    :good:good:good

As for Lara......Haymon knows who to contact.

It's certainly a good match-up styles wise, but unless Haymon and Lara's management actually reach out to K2 to make REAL negotiations, it's a non-starter as GGG has unification fights with Canelo and BJS ahead of Lara, and the WBC, IBF, and WBA also have a certain degree of say in terms of his ability to just fight who he wants and when.

Lara can get it with or without a 160lb win due to his name value and his WBA LMW title status.

He just has to tell his team to begin negotiations.:roll::roll:

That's all huh? Just has to tell his team huh? Even though Lil g people dismissed him when his name was brought up? So Lara's people just have to begin negotiations eh? Even if the other side has 0 interest? It's that easy huh?

How the F are we SUPPOSED to KNOW Shock????

If you were a professional fighter, looking at $1mil to sit ringside while 2 others fight for your title, and in the meantime, some other titlist, who doesnt exactly have serious bargaining ability, randomly throws your name out on twitter......what would YOU DO?

You gonna tell your advisors and the sanctioning bodies you answer to for you TITLES that you are fighting him and they'd all best get on board????

That's like Ward having to answer Martirosyans call out on youtube and telling HBO, Kovalev, DGP(?), Prince, and Roc to call off their HBO PPV fight in the fall because there's a contender with a different style who think's he has what it takes, at least according to his call out.

    Come on Shock......

Of all the GGG haters, your'e by far the SMARTEST in terms of KSAB, and your'e way better than this thread bud. :good

I know what ur saying....and I'm not saying he needs to go get Lara now....but If hes gonna let canelo walk again why not lara? Whatever alphabet belt he has to defend I'm sure I'll grant him a defense against Lara if he wants ......

Much better. That's an intelligent post.

If Canelo drops his title, GGG will pick it up. SAD way to get it, but we all know he'd get it regardless.

At that point, either Jacobs accepts his July/August fight with Golovkin or he drops his WBA minor title himself.

If Jacobs drops rather than exercise his mandate, then GGG should again try to get BJS on board with the unification fight, which might actually be more appealing to BJS than the 5'3 beast. Khurtisizde, he'll be tasked to fight after Bursak.

If BJS ducks the unification bout, and Jacobs ducks his mandate, then K2 should, themselves, reach out to Lara, unless of course, Martirosyan KOs him. :good

Nope. Rosado was there to provide quality low budget entertainment as HBO was testing the marketability of Golovkin, who was the first non-heavyweight ex-Soviet block fighter to get a real push from the network as a headliner instead of being brought in as the opponent.

Back to my point, which I'll bold since you missed it the first time- all Lara ever had to do was beat Jacobs and he'd be GGG's mandatory. That's a sure-fire way to get GGG in the ring. It's an in-house fight with Haymon, and Jacobs isn't doing anything right now.

    Let's not forgot that.

If he wanted GGG, he knows exactly how to get him in the ring.

There's a difference between a guy choosing to give a contender a shot and a contender demanding a shot.

Why are you upset with Gabe getting that shot?
He always comes to fight, entertaining and has heart. I'm glad he got a decent payday against GGG.

Shaftmaster and Lara sitting in a tree....

Lara's too busy to fight the God of War, he's currently training for the rematch of the century against Vanes.
